LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rudy Giuliani, the controversial former mayor, recently became the subject of ridicule on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' show.

The hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, took aim at Giuliani's latest venture: his own line of coffee, announced amid his public bankruptcy and recent indictment.

Rudy Giuliani's coffee launch amid legal woes

In a tongue-in-cheek manner, Brzezinski quipped that she'd rather stick to Peet's coffee, while Scarborough humorously remarked that America supposedly needs coffee from Giuliani, famous for his infamous hair dye incident.

“This is what America needs right now. It’s what America has been asking for: coffee from Rudy Giuliani, he of dripping mascara fame," said Scarborough.

The timing of Giuliani's coffee launch couldn't be more ironic, as he faces mounting legal troubles including bankruptcy and a recent indictment.

Giuliani's promotional ad for his coffee line, featuring claims of supporting truth, justice, and American democracy, was met with scathing remarks from the hosts.

“By supporting Rudy Coffee, you’re not just treating yourself to exceptional coffee, you’re also supporting our cause: the cause of truth, justice and American democracy,” Giuliani says in the ad.

'Morning Joe' hosts serve up humorous critiques

Brzezinski couldn't help but remark on the outdated nature of the commercial, questioning if it belonged to the 1970s era. She said, “That was horrible. That was the worst commercial I’ve ever seen. Is it 1972?”

Scarborough, adding to the jest, humorously suggested that Giuliani's personal touch in the coffee might include his sweat and a hint of hair dye, alluding to the former mayor's infamous perspiration and hair dye mishap during a press conference.

He explained, “You taste something that’s a bit pungent … this is why it’s so personal to him. It’s Rudy’s sweat, mixed in with a little bit of hair dye. It’s that secret ingredient that puts it over the top.”

Giuliani's coffee doesn't come cheap

The hosts didn't hold back, with co-host Jonathan Lemire chiming in on the embarrassment factor. Lemire said, “Just for men. Deeply embarrassing.”

According to Wrap, Giuliani's coffee line comes with a hefty price tag of $29.99 for a 2-pound package, with promises of organic roasts and even a decaf option. Furthermore, the first 100 orders are to be signed by Giuliani himself, adding a touch of exclusivity to the mix.

Giuliani's foray into the coffee business comes at a time when he is grappling with significant legal and financial challenges. From bankruptcy proceedings to facing indictment papers on his 80th birthday, the former mayor's coffee venture serves as fodder for comedic relief amidst his ongoing legal battles.

Internet mocks Rudy Giuliani's coffee launch

Social media users wasted no time in serving up a steaming cup of humor in response to Rudy Giuliani's coffee venture.

One user wrote, "Dark and rich? More like white and bankrupt."

Another said, "Made all that money after 911. Now he’s trying to pay his bills with our money again."

One user wrote, "Rudy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. I'm surprised he likes it black."

One said, "Coffee so good it’ll have your hair dye dripping down your face."

One user commented, "Rudy has lost his mind."

One added, "Smell like convict and taste like guilty."

One replied, "Rudy: "My coffee is soooo good. And it's not just for drinking. I also use it to dye my hair black."
