CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: Samantha Busch has shared her first public comments since the sudden death of her husband, two-time NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, two weeks ago. As she navigates this tragic loss, she shared a message, stating, "There are moments when the weight of this loss feels impossible to carry, yet time and time again God, through you all, has shown us we are not alone."

Racing legend, Kyle Busch died on May 21 at the age 41 after a battle with pneumonia that escalated into sepsis after he collapsed during a simulator session.

Kyle Busch's wife breaks silence weeks after husband's death

Breaking her silence on Instagram on Friday, June 5, Samantha Busch expressed appreciation for the massive wave of support her family has received after Kyle's death.

She highlighted that the collective kindness of fans and friends has been a vital source of strength during their most difficult days.

"As a family, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you. The prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and countless acts of kindness have carried us through the most heartbreaking days of our lives. While our hearts are absolutely shattered, we have felt God’s presence and arms wrapped tightly around us through each and every one of you," she wrote in her statement.

Samantha shares deep gratitude for outpouring of love

Samantha further noted that seeing how fans honor Kyle’s memory has helped them cope with the reality of his absence.

"The love that has surrounded our family during this unimaginable time has brought comfort in the middle of so much pain. Knowing the impact Kyle had on others and seeing how they are honoring him through each unique act of generosity is a true testament to how special Kyle is to so many people," she added.

"From family and friends to fans and complete strangers, thank you for showing up for us," she continued.

"Thank you for loving our family so well. Thank you for loving Kyle. Thank you for honoring him."

As the family looks ahead, she concluded, "We may never find the words to fully express what your support has meant to us, but please know that we are deeply grateful."

Kyle’s legacy as NASCAR champion

It is to be noted that Kyle Busch, began his Cup Series journey in 2004, ultimately securing 63 career wins and championships in 2015 and 2019. 

His reach extended across all three NASCAR national series, where he tallied a remarkable 234 victories.

His final win occurred at Dover just one week before his death, where he led 147 laps in a dominant performance. Looking back at that final moment, Busch had remarked, "You never know when the last one is."
