WASHINGTON, DC: US Senator Adam Schiff criticized the financial dealings of President Donald Trump's family, alleging that multiple members were benefiting from business opportunities while maintaining political visibility.

His remarks were based on recent reports involving contracts and ventures linked to individuals connected to the Trump family. Schiff framed the developments as part of a broader pattern of financial gain tied to political prominence, intensifying ongoing scrutiny in Washington over ethics and influence.

Schiff calls out Trump family wealth over Pentagon-linked contract

In his comments, Schiff highlighted a reported Pentagon-linked contract involving Eric Trump, He said a company associated with him secured a deal worth millions.

“Eric Trump gets a massive Pentagon contract. Melania gets a movie. Donald Trump gets millions in payouts and crypto. They’re all cashing in. And the corruption is killing our economy,” Schiff wrote on X.

The contract, reportedly valued at around $24 million, is linked to a robotics startup developing technology aimed at strengthening US competitiveness against China. Schiff cited the deal as an example of what he described as overlap between political proximity and financial opportunity.

He also referenced Melania Trump’s reported involvement in a film-related project, pointing to separate revenue-generating ventures connected to the family.

Schiff raises concerns over accountability and economic fairness

Schiff argued that these financial activities raise broader concerns about accountability and economic fairness. He suggested that wealth accumulation through politically connected deals reflects a structural imbalance that impacts broader economic conditions.

The remarks feed into an ongoing political debate in the US about the intersection of business interests and public life, particularly involving high-profile political families.
