ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Commentator and writer Scott Jennings delivered his remarks on the latest release of new Epstein files by the Department of Justice on Friday, December 19.
Drawing attention to the release of photographs involving Bill Clinton, he shifted the focus away from President Trump and toward the former president.
According to the newly released files, there are multiple images showing Clinton with Epstein and his close confidant Ghislaine Maxwell.
Scott Jennings' remarks on Bill Clinton
Scott delivered the remarks on CNN while responding to a question from host Sara Sidner.
Discussing the partial release of documents, Sidner asked, "Scott, don't you think that because they are not releasing everything that Congress and the President signed to say you have to release this in 30 days, doesn't it give more fodder for the conspiracies that exist?"
She further claimed, "I mean, they're not following the law."
Answering this, Scott replied, "Well, look, they've released how many documents tonight? 200,000? Or more? 400?" One of the panelists interjected, noting that it was only “10% of those files.”
Scott added, “So a good faith effort is being made to release files tonight.”
He continued, “They're obviously doing that. And I think as it relates to redactions, my impression is that there's a whole lot of names of victims in there, and minors and other people that you probably wouldn't want to release, and they do need to be redacted.”
Emphasizing more, “Regarding Bill Clinton, I'm sorry to tell you, the reason that Bill Clinton's picture is in the Epstein files is because this has always been a story about Bill Clinton and not Donald Trump.”
He continued targeting Clinton, stating, “We should call it the Clinton files, not the Epstein files. That's what we're learning tonight.”
Concluding his remarks, he emphasized, “This is the Clinton files. This is the blowing up in the face of the Democrats over this. It's Bill Clinton. This is a story about Democrats and Bill Clinton. And it's always been that way.”
Bill Clinton in Epstein files
Clinton emerges as the most prominent figure in this collection of materials.
One photograph shows him seated on a private plane, smiling and slightly flushed, with a young woman across the arm of his chair.
In another, he is shirtless and relaxed in a hot tub, arms resting behind his head, while the face of the person beside him is covered by a black box to protect identity.
Additional images capture him grinning next to Mick Jagger in a button-down shirt and blazer, and swimming in a lavish marble-tiled indoor pool alongside Maxwell.
The collection also includes a painting of Clinton in a blue dress and red heels, displayed in Epstein’s Manhattan mansion.
A spokesperson for Clinton criticized the White House late on Friday, accusing it of using the former president as a scapegoat.
“The White House hasn’t been hiding these files for months only to dump them late on a Friday to protect Bill Clinton,” the spokesperson said in a statement on X.
The statement continued, “This is about shielding themselves from what comes next, or from what they’ll try and hide forever. So they can release as many grainy 20-plus-year-old photos as they want, but this isn’t about Bill Clinton. Never has, never will be.”
