FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA: CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings appeared on the 'PBD Podcast' on Friday, November 21.

Jennings defended Donald Trump’s recent social media rant, accusing Democratic lawmakers of "seditious behavior" for urging the military to refuse orders from the administration.

The CNN commentator said that the Democrats were being “extraordinarily irresponsible” with their statements, noting that it was the same “garbage” they had been spewing that had led to the “violence against the president.”

Scott Jennings calls Democrats' claims against Trump 'bulls**t'

After the controversial clip of the veteran Democratic lawmakers was played, the host, Patrick Bet-David, asked Scott Jennings for his thoughts. The CNN commentator called the video “complete and utter bulls**t” as he asserted that there were no illegal orders.

Jennings recalled having Rep Jason Crow (D-CO), one of the lawmakers from the video, on CNN the day before. Jennings said that Kasie Hunt asked him which orders they were referring to in their video against Trump, and he said they were speaking “generally.”

Jennings called the Democrats' assertion that Trump was a threat to the Constitution “garbage,” adding that it had previously led to violence against Trump as well as violence against ICE agents and the people working in the government.

"This rhetoric is designed to foment insurrection against the commander-in-chief and violence against the commander-in-chief," Jennings remarked.

Further explaining where the Democrats' problem stemmed from, he said it went back to 2016 and that they had “never believed” Trump was a “legitimate president.” The CNN commentator added that they demand that their elected officials treat him like he’s “illegitimate.”

Jennings added that Trump has "every right to be outraged" and that he would have felt the same way if he were in his shoes. He also scoffed at the idea that Trump called for the “death of Democratic lawmakers."

In his rant, Trump called for the lawmakers to be “ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL.” The president added that "an example MUST BE SET" regarding officials who he believes are inciting insubordination within the ranks. In another post, he went even further, writing, “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

When Patrick Bet-David asked Scott Jennings about the possible consequences of the lawmakers' statements, the latter said that nothing would happen to them. He believed there were no consequences of their actions, something that he thought they were “betting on.”

He questioned the Democrats and asked what consequences they had faced for the government shutdown and not paying the soldiers. Jennings said it was funny that the Democrats were worried about the soldiers and “illegal orders” since they weren’t worried about paying the military during that time. “They treat soldiers like pawns,” he added.

Later in the video, Jennings said that the Democrats were trying to make every other Democrat in the country believe that an illegal order had been given, despite them not disclosing what it was.
