Douglas Emhoff did not stop there, and he mentioned Kamala Harris’ approach toward the November election after Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race.

President Biden announced on Sunday, July 21, that he is withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race and endorsed Harris as the Democratic nominee.

Emhoff, the 59-year-old lawyer husband of Harris, said, “You heard the Vice President yesterday making the case against Donald Trump. Very clearly laid out the case, directly and in a compelling fashion.  But she also laid out a vision for the future. A vision where there's freedom.”

He continued, “Where we're not having to talk about these issues of today in this post Dobbs Hellscape that Donald Trump created.

“…We're gonna prosecute the case against Donald Trump and his lies, his gaslighting, during Covid, the dereliction of duty, inciting an insurrection, and all those other things.”

Emhoff went on to praise Biden by calling him “a great man” and added, “Kamala Harris has united the party. She's gonna unite the country. She’s gonna earn this nomination. You see that happening and she's gonna win this election.”

Donald Trump makes fun of Kamala Harris’ laugh

Douglas Emhoff's comments came after Donald Trump reportedly called Kamala Harris “Laughing Kamala”.

The 45th President stated, “I call her ‘Laughing Kamala’... You ever watched her laugh? She’s crazy. You know, you can tell a lot by a laugh—no, she’s crazy, she’s nuts. She's not as crazy as Nancy Pelosi. Crazy Nancy.”

The third user shared, “It's always funny to hear real adults talking about Orange Foolius. Seriously, it's like parents talking about misbehaving children.”

The fourth user stated, “I think what so many of us are feeling right now is relief. So many of us where taken aback that Trump and Trumpism were still able to hold any kind of sway in this country. After everything he did, the insanity, the gaslighting, the media caving, we are here and ready to fight!!”

“Trump admittedly hates to be laughed at. The more @KamalaHarris can laugh at him, the better it will be,” the fifth user added.

A tweet read, “Great response! Don't forget the deranged Felon's main strategist Bannon is otherwise occupied at this time. His trial is Dec 9.”

"Lit. Melania could never," one more quipped.
