NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Seth Meyers took a jab at Rep Lauren Boebert's (R-Colo) recent controversial remarks about Joe Biden and the Covid-19 vaccines on the Friday, July 12 episode of 'Late Night' with a savage 'Beetlejuice' joke, recalling a scandal concerning the far-right lawmaker.

Boebert apparently implied that Covid-19 vaccines might be responsible for the president's "rapid physical and cognitive decline," posting photos of him getting vaccinated, despite having no medical evidence to support the claim, as per Forbes

Seth Meyers jokes Lauren Boebert is descending into 'Beetlejuice'-induced mania

On July 11, Lauren Boebert took to X (formerly Twitter) to share photos of President Joe Biden receiving the shots and questioned, "I wonder what could have caused Joe Biden’s rapid physical and cognitive decline?"

On his show, Meyers responded sarcastically, "Yeah, no, I wonder."

He continued, "Could it have been a thoroughly tested vaccine that saved millions of lives that was subjected to rigorous safety trials by some of the world’s most renowned scientists or could it have been, I don’t know, the march of time?"

"It could be further proof that Boebert is descending into 'Beetlejuice'-induced mania," Meyers joked, suggesting that the lawmaker seems to be morphing into the character of Lydia Deetz from the 'Beetlejuice' musical.

Meyers was seemingly referring to an incident involving Beobert from September 2023 when she was escorted out of a performance of the 'Beetlejuice' musical in downtown Denver over disruptive behavior, as per The Denver Post

Seth Meyers' amusing 'Beetlejuice' reference struck a chord with his viewers

Seth Meyers' witty jab at Lauren Boebert's comments on Joe Biden's cognitive decline elicited an equally humorous reaction from his audience.

One viewer said, "The saddest thing about this monologue is that Lauren is incapable of understanding it," and another wrote, "Oh so NOW it’s a sudden decline. But according to Babs and others Joe has been in decline for some time now. It’s funny to sit back and watch today’s lies refute yesterdays."

"I was about to respect Colorado until Boebert left her district that she was losing in and went to another district and got re-elected. Shame on Colorado," remarked a person.

Someone else observed, "How is Boebert not given her marching papers immediately after her public escapades!!! Wtf?" "We are living in the dumbest possible time line," exclaimed another person.

"We COULD be talking about Trump's clear cognitive decline," said one more.
