NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has earned the ire of the internet once again as she praised Donald Trump for bringing about world peace on social media.

On January 13, The Georgia Representative shared a post that the former president uploaded on Truth Social, and tried to drum up support for his re-election, as the first Republican caucus is set to be held in Iowa in two days.

"Four wars and one invasion ago we had a President that gave us world peace," she wrote on X, "Let’s bring him back!!!"

Accompanying the text was a screenshot of Trump's post.

Donald Trump's rant on the state of US defense

The current Republican frontrunner went on truth social to attack the Biden administration over the various global conflicts it was currently embroiled in. He also called out US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, whose recent hospitalization went unreported for days and caused much controversy.

"So, let me get this straight," began the post. "We're dropping bombs all over the Middle East, AGAIN (where I defeated ISIS!), and our Secretary of Defence, who just went missing for five days, is running the war from his laptop in a hospital room."

"Remember, this is the same gang that 'surrendered' in Afghanistan, where no one was held accountable or FIRED. It was the most embarrassing 'moment' in the history of the United States," it continued.

"Now we have wars in Ukraine, Israel and Yemen, but no 'war' on our Southern Border. Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Crooked Joe Biden is the worst President in the history of the United States!"

Netizens react to Marjorie Taylor Green's post

X-users trolled both Green and Trump on the Twitter chain of the former's post.

"World Peace??? Do you even educate yourself on anything other than the best hair bleach??" a user asked the Congresswoman, as another stated, "She’s drunk again."

"We were still at war under him. Sit down, Marjorie. Your soccer mom Karen is showing," posted a third.

"This is a parody account, right?" mocked a fourth user.

Greene had recently shared in an interview that she would like to work with Trump if he is re-elected. In that context, a user jibed, "Campaigning for a possible cabinet appointment again!"
