ATLANTA, GEORGIA: During an appearance on Steve Bannon's ‘War Room’ podcast, Georgia Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was asked which cabinet position she would be interested in, should President Trump offer her the opportunity to serve in his administration.

In response, Greene expressed interest in the position of Secretary of Homeland Security, according to OK Magazine.

She stated that if appointed, she would work toward implementing Trump's border plan and carrying out mass deportations.

Additionally, Greene expressed a willingness to accept the role of Vice President and did not rule out the possibility of running for governor of Georgia, either.

What did Marjorie Taylor Greene reveal on Steve Bannon’s podcast?

The 49-year-old Georgia representative was asked if she would be Trump's vice president on Steve Bannon's podcast.

"Of course I would serve President Trump in any capacity, but I want to make it clear that is his decision, his decision alone," she said.

Greene continued, "The only cabinet position that I would truly be interested in is Homeland Security. I would deport people. I would enact the policies he's laying out. I would go after the child trafficker, going after cartels. I fully support President Trump's border agenda.”

Greene said in August 2023 that she "knows" her name is "on a list" of probable candidates for Vice President if former President Donald Trump ends up winning his re-election bid come November 2024.

“I’d have to think about it and consider it,” Greene had shared at the time. “It’s talked about frequently and I know my name is on a list but really my biggest focus right now is serving the district that elected me.”

“I don’t know who that person is going to be and I don’t even think they’re going to be on that debate stage. I’ll argue that," she claimed.

The congresswoman representing Georgia's 14th congressional district added, “But, of course, that’s up to him. But I would be honored and consider it. But my most important job is, of course, to serve the American people and I’ll help him do whatever in any way I can.”

Donald Trump was recently asked by Fox News host Martha MacCallum in the Iowa Town Hall on Wednesday, January 10, about who he's thinking of being his running mate.

The 77-year-old GOP presidential frontrunner said, "I can't tell you that really, I mean, I know who it's going to be."

After she asked him to give the crowd "a hint" Trump said, "We'll do another show sometime.”

Speculations were rife last year with many suspecting Nikki Haley to emerge as Trump’s VP pick if she dropped out of her 2024 presidential bid early enough.

However, Donald Trump Jr stated in an interview unequivocally that this will never happen.

Trump’s eldest told Newsmax’s Eric Bolling in an interview last year, “I wouldn’t have her and I would go to great lengths to make sure that that doesn’t happen. Nikki Haley wants never-ending wars. She’s a puppet of the establishment in Washington, D.C. She’s the new favorite candidate of the billionaire class because they want control— no different than academia and Harvard and using their billions to exercise influence.”

Nikki Haley has experience working under the Trump administration having served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations for two years, from January 2017 through December 2018.

Internet expresses their dismay

The GOP primaries aren't even underway yet and people on social media have already turned their backs on Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene serving a cabinet position under the Trump administration either as Vice President or as Secretary of Homeland Security.

One X user remarked, "What a disaster that would be."

Another user quipped, "I want to be a wealthy person but it ain’t gonna happen"

Another user claimed, "That is pretty much the country effed to oblivion."

"Remember when people aspired to positions they were qualified for?" another user asked.

"I wouldn’t make her the Governor of a Denny’s," another user quipped.

Finally, one user tweeted, "She's a bad faith actor who takes important jobs only to engage in performative theatrics while trying to own the libs."
