'Something is going on': Trump's heavily made-up hand looks sickly green, sparks health concerns again

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump was pictured with a heavy layer of makeup applied to his right hand when he visited a museum located next to the White House on Friday, August 22.

This is not the first time Trump has been spotted with an unusual color on his hand. Since taking office for his second run as the POTUS, some pictures have shown Trump's hand having a greenish bruise.

Several recent pictures of Donald Trump that have gone viral on social media show the POTUS to have a thick coating of foundation or concealer covering his right hand when he visited the museum on Friday.

Interestingly, Trump did not seem to have the tan-coloured substance applied to his left hand.

Journalist Katelyn Caralle shared the pictures of Trump on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "The massive glob of discolored foundation on President Donald Trump's hand today really has me questioning whether they are even trying to blend correctly."

Meanwhile, the POTUS has been seen with makeup on his hands many times, which the White House has blamed on his rigorous handshakes.

During a White House meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in early 2025, Trump’s right hand appeared badly bruised.

Moreover, people noted that Trump suffers from swollen ankles, and it was visible recently when he met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska last week for peace talks on the Ukraine war.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in July that the president was suffering from "minor bruising on the back of his hands" and characterized the issue as "minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin."

She added, "This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy."

She also blamed Trump's swollen ankles on chronic venous insufficiency, a condition where blood pools in the legs and does not efficiently return to the heart.

Interestingly, Trump’s annual medical examination, which took place in early 2025, claimed that the POTUS was in "excellent health" and noted his "active lifestyle" and "frequent victories in golf events."

Trump's hand picture sparks health concerns

People on the internet reacted as Donald Trump was pictured with a heavy layer of makeup applied to his right hand when he visited a museum on Friday.

An online comment read, "IV treatment? But I don't know why they wouldn't do that via his elbow tbh, where it wouldn't show. If he has to do anything really serious they'd install a port in his chest," while one added, "You'd think the doctors would give him the IV's in his arm so they wouldn't be so visible."

A person stated, "Aspirin doesn’t leave bruising like that. Xarelto and Eliquis will. The old man probably has a-fib and acts like he’s had a stroke or two," whereas one mentioned, "Very poor physical condition is the obvious answer; he's 50 lbs overweight ...and all of the long ties, custom made suits, orange facial spray tans, elabororate comb-overs and dye jobs and now trying to mask old age spots from his hands isn't going to hide the truth."

An individual wrote, "Something is going on with Trump's health they don't want us to know about," while one commented, "He is getting some kind of IV treatment. Be it just vitamins or something more."
