NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump announced that the organization will deploy poll watchers who will handle ballots physically at polling stations on election day. Her father-in-law, former President Donald Trump, is the expected GOP nominee.

The Trump family has made unsubstantiated claims about the 2020 election being rigged against the former president.

While Trump previously criticized mail-in voting, he now encourages Republicans to utilize it.

Lara Trump discusses RNC's election integrity efforts with Eric Bolling

Lara Trump has encouraged Republicans to embrace various voting methods, including mail-in voting and early voting.

She emphasized the RNC's preparedness during a recent appearance on Newsmax.

“Obviously, we’ve been working really hard,” she told host Eric Bolling.

Trump aslo added, saying, “I think the most recent thing to report is that we are working hard on election integrity, and we just announced last week that we have 100,000 committed people who are going to be trained as poll workers. So, Eric, leading up to this election I think we can all see the most important thing aside from getting out the vote is protecting that vote.”

She elaborated that the RNC will have operatives stationed at precincts who will actively handle ballots.

“We now have the ability at the RNC not just to have poll watchers – people standing in polling locations – but people who can physically handle the ballots,” Lara Trump explained.

“I wanna hear this,” Bolling interjected. “So, they will be stationed inside polling places? I didn’t even know you could do that. Tell us about it.”

Trump responded saying, "So, there was a moratorium for about 40 years on the RNC actually training people to work in these polling locations and the tabulation centers where the mail-in ballots come in. And last year, the judge who implemented that passed away."

She added, "So, that was lifted, and that gives us a great ability as we head into what I assume everyone understands is the most important election of our lifetime. So we have this ability. These are volunteers, most of these people."

It seems she was referring to the lifting of a consent decree by a federal judge six years ago.

This decree had previously restricted the Republican National Committee (RNC) from engaging in certain election-related activities, including having operatives handling ballots inside polling places.

Internet mocks Lara Trump's comments

Lara Trump became the subject of widespread mockery from netizens on social media, who didn't hesitate to poke fun at her recent statements

One X user wrote, "Sounds like conspiracy to me. I hope the DOJ and state AGs are paying attention to this blatant election interference."

Another X usr noted, "She’s full of lies. In Georgia you can get arrested for handing someone a bottle of water much less handle ballots. There’s no way they can handle ballots. If anything, it’s going to be watched better because of Trump’s antics in 2020. Mark Meadows tried to get into Cobb County’s audit and they wouldn’t let him in 2020."

One more viewer said, "Somebody tell me she’s not confessing to a coordinated plot to steal the election."

Another comment read, "Sounds trumpy to me".

One more comment read, "Oh I don’t like that. Likely a lie considering the last name but ….".

One more viewer voiced, "Totally corrupt", while another said, "Sounds illegal to me".
