LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephen King has made fun of Robert F Kennedy Jr after he shared a video claiming that he dumped a dead bear cub in New York City’s Central Park years ago.

Taking to X, the 76-year-old author wrote, “RFL Jr. was late for dinner after falcon hunting, so he left a dead bear cub in Central Park. This is a perfect example of what Monty Python’s Flying Circus called ‘an upper-class twit.’”

Stephen King compares RFK Jr to characters of comedy skit

Stephen King’s tweet referred to a skit titled ‘Upper Class Twit of the Year’ by the British comedy troupe Monty Python that was about some wealthy but dimwit aristocrats, and their bizarre ways, as reported by Newsweek.

On Sunday, August 4, the 70-year-old conspiracy theorist via online video revealed that a woman fatally hit a young bear with her car a decade ago.

Kennedy Jr was also driving nearby at the time. “I pulled over and I picked up the bear and put him in the back of my van,” he can be seen narrating the incident to actress Roseanne Barr in the social media clip, released a day before the New Yorker magazine published a story about it.

He continued, “I was going to skin the bear... and I was going to put the meat in my refrigerator. And you can do that in New York state: Get a bear tag for a roadkill bear.”

RFK Jr made plans to make the bear's death look like an accident

But Robert F Kennedy Jr could not do it because he had other appointments. “It was late and I realized I couldn't go home,” the politician shared, as reported by BBC.

“I had to go to the airport, and the bear was in my car, and I didn't want to leave the bear in my car because that would have been bad,” Kennedy Jr stated, before noting that he immediately made another plan with his friends to dump the carcass in Central Park to make the bear death look like the result of a bicycle accident.

He disclosed, “We thought it would be amusing for whoever found it. The next day... it was on every television station.”

“It was a front page of every paper and I turned on the TV and there was like a mile of yellow tape and 20 cop cars, there were helicopters flying, and I was like, 'Oh my God. What did I do?’” Kennedy Jr added.

Netizens ask Stephen King to share his views on Kamala Harris

Meanwhile, many people have reacted to Stephen King’s tweet with an X user saying, “he was so obviously lying about the reason for why he had the dead bear in his trunk and that he wasn't drunk…”

Another user commented, “Must have been a really important dinner.”

“Classic move, totally channeling his inner Monty Python's 'upper-class twit' vibes ✌🏾,” one user said.

A user stated, “You’re takes on Trump and RFK Jr are hilarious. Do one on Kamala next, I’d love to see what you come up with.”

Another user added, “Did RFK Jr kill the bear? He had every intention of taking the dead bear home for meat which is legal in NY State. RFK should not have left the bear in Central Park but c'mon it was a prank. NO ONE was hurt.”

One remarked, “It does read like a more dark-sided version of the sort of stuff that happens in Jeeves & Wooster stories.”

A tweet read, “So leaving it on the side of the road would be what u would do? Stephen life isn’t about political points, you very well know this. I know you do.”
