ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA: White House deputy chief of staff and immigration architect Stephen Miller has put up his $3.75 million Virginia mansion for sale after weeks of being targeted by protesters.

They reportedly wrote chalk messages on the sidewalk outside the house and staged repeated protests. This follows his continued push for hardline measures in immigration policy.

Records say the custom-built home in a quiet Arlington neighborhood that "embraces a refined Southern California aesthetic" was sold new in 2023 for $2.875 million.

The six-bedroom house was officially put up for sale on October 7 after repeated protests. A neighbourhood newsletter states that “the Millers have moved,” as reported by ARLnow, a local outlet.

ARLnow previously reported messages such as “Stephen Miller is destroying democracy,” “no white nationalism,” and “trans rights are human rights,” written on the public sidewalk and a nearby park in mid-September. According to Miller, such activities amounted to “terroristic threats.”

A local group, Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity, claimed credit for the chalking but denied handing out personal information or leaflets about the Millers, claiming the event to be a peaceful expression protected by the First Amendment.

“We wrote over 50 thoughtful, peaceful messages,” the group said on Instagram.

“To the ‘Tolerant Left’ who spent their day trying to intimidate us in the house where we have three young children: We will not back down. We will not cower in fear. We will double down. Always, For Charlie,” Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, posted on X (formerly Twitter) on September 14, days after the tragic killing of conservative icon Charlie Kirk.

In recent times, Stephen Miller’s proposals on immigration policy have faced criticisms, particularly from the left. Among his major policy goals are mass arrests and deportations, with the most controversial example being setting a new ICE target of around 3,000 arrests per day in recent months.

He has also strongly advocated for expanding travel bans and tightening entry requirements for the US, often targeting Muslim majority countries.
