WASHINGTON, DC: White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller took his rhetoric up a notch while praising President Donald Trump, saying, "This country was going to die without you."
During a law enforcement roundtable at the White House on Thursday, October 23, Miller expressed his gratitude to the POTUS after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had spoken.
Stephen Miller praises Trump for saving America
Stephen Miller said on Thursday, "This country was actually going to die without you."
He continued, "That’s what we were facing in 2024. We’d been invaded for four years, our communities were sinking, our public safety was at zero, cartels were running entire communities. Labor trafficking was also out of control."
"Overdoses were out of control, cartels reclaiming more territory, city services were buckling, too. This was a country on the verge of dying and you alone saved it," Miller added.
The top White House aide further said, "And when you stepped forward in 2016, and started a movement to make America great again, that means make America great again in every way: and that means safety, and prosperity, and peace, and freedom from cartels and crime and gangs."
"And your vision and your leadership in declaring war on the cartels, it is the single most successful public safety initiative in America’s history," he mentioned.
Miller went on to claim that "only President Trump" could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives by fighting cartels and praised Trump’s "courage" as "an inspiration to everybody in this room."
Meanwhile, the POTUS concurred with Miller as he accepted the praise and said, "Everybody said the same thing, a year ago we had a dead country."
"We were a dead country, we really were in a lot of ways, not just this, we were dead as a doornail. We were a country that was in serious trouble and beyond that. And we have the hottest country anywhere in the world right now, the whole world is talking about it. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world," Trump added.
Stephen Miller hits out at JB Pritzker for opposing Trump
Last week, Stephen Miller told Fox News' Sean Hannity that Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is opposing President Donald Trump's plans to send the National Guard to Chicago because "to keep murderers murdering," claiming that "Chicago is more dangerous than Baghdad."
While discussing Chicago's ongoing crime crisis, Hannity said Trump is "trying to keep innocent Americans safe and secure" despite the governor’s failures, as he referred to JB Pritzker and Democrat Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who opposed Trump’s move to send the National Guard to the city. Miller said, "Well, I mean, he’s a fool, and he’s a moron, but, also, most importantly, Sean, he hates America."
"And let’s just be honest about it. You can’t love your country and then fight President Trump to keep murderers murdering. Just think about that for a second. President Trump is saying, ‘Let us work with you, with the FBI, with ICE, with ATF, with DEA, with the National Guard, to stop the murdering in your city,’" he added.
Miller further said, "And Pritzker is saying he wants to protect the murderers, the people that are shooting dozens and dozens of people every single week. Chicago is more dangerous than Baghdad. It’s more dangerous than Mexico City. So shame on Pritzker, and God bless President Trump for fighting for the citizens of this country."
