TRENTON, NEW JERSEY: Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Saturday, November 15, that the suspect who allegedly attacked Acting US Attorney Alina Habba’s New Jersey office has been taken into custody. The arrest came a day after Bondi publicly revealed details of the disturbing incident.

The man arrested is identified as Keith Michael Lisa. “No one will get away with threatening or intimidating our great US Attorneys or the destruction of their offices,” Bondi posted on X while confirming the suspect’s capture.

Pam Bondi vows harshest punishment for suspect

Appearing on Fox News’ 'Hannity' on Friday night, Bondi said that the footage of the break-in was “chilling” and vowed that the perpetrator would face the harshest punishment available.

“What we can say is we are finding these people, we are arresting them, and we are charging them,” she said. “They will go to prison for as long as we can send them.”

Bondi claimed that the man had been “pacing outside Habba’s office like a caged animal” before launching the attack.

Suspect ‘destroyed property’ of Alina Habba

According to Bondi and other reports, the man first arrived at Habba’s office wielding a baseball bat. Security reportedly denied him entry, prompting him to leave, but he returned moments later without the weapon.

This time, he was reportedly allowed inside the building, where he went directly to Habba’s office and “destroyed property.”

Bondi said that the intruder “tore apart” the front area of the office in what she described as a targeted act of intimidation.

According to the FBI, the man arrested was identified as Keith Michael Lisa.

"He was wanted for allegedly entering the Peter W Rodino Federal Building in Newark, New Jersey, on November 12, 2025, while in possession of a bat," the FBI noted.

"After being denied entry, he discarded the bat and returned. Once inside the building, he proceeded to the US Attorney's Office, where he damaged government property," the FBI said.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Lisa on November 13 in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey, after he was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon in a federal facility and depredation of federal property.

Alina Habba says she ‘will not be intimidated’

Alina Habba, formerly a legal spokesperson and personal attorney for President Donald Trump, and now serving as Acting US Attorney in New Jersey pending legal challenges, condemned the attack and praised law enforcement following the suspect’s arrest.

“We got him,” Habba wrote on X after Bondi’s announcement. “DOJ and Attorney General Pam Bondi and our federal partners will not tolerate any acts of intimidation or violence toward law enforcement.”

In an earlier post, she declared, “I will not be intimidated by radical lunatics.”

“Now justice will handle him,” she added, signaling confidence that prosecutors will pursue the case aggressively.
