Stormy Daniels reveals she faked her name in hush money deal, adds she 'didn't care' about the money
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Stormy Daniels has shed light upon various matters concerning her and the former president, Donald Trump, while she took the stand for the first time in the hush money trial case.
The adult actress, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, also spoke about the 2016 agreement and legal documents meant to secure her silence, which her then-attorney Keith Davidson hashed out with Michael Cohen.
Under the agreement, she was allegedly paid $130,000 and was told not to speak publicly about her story of having sex with Trump.
Stormy Daniels reveals she and Donald Trump used monikers to sign the hush money deal
The 45-year-old shared her experience of signing the agreement using a fake name, Peggy Peterson, while Donald Trump used the fake moniker David Dennison. According to the reports of CNN, Daniels said she signed "Stephanie Clifford" under the line Peggy Peterson.
The agreement included a handwritten list of nine names of people Daniels told about the encounter with Trump. She also confirmed she wrote the list.
Stormy Daniels 'didn't care' about the money
Daniels said that she understood Trump and his lawyer, Michael Cohen, were trying to buy her story about her alleged sexual encounter with Trump. However, her manager alerted her about what had happened, she explained.
Daniels testified that she knew Cohen was representing Trump and that Cohen was “interested in paying for my story." She said the deal would have been a win-win because she didn't want her partner to find out about the alleged encounter with Trump and she would also have been paid.
She added that she did not try to negotiate the $130,000 price for her story that Cohen ended up paying as she "didn't care" about the money, reports BBC.
Stormy Daniels was threatened to stay silent about Donald Trump
The former adult actress also opened up about a harrowing encounter in a Las Vegas parking lot in 2011 where she was menaced to stay silent about Trump. Daniels said that her infant daughter was with her and she did not report the incident to police because she was scared.
She also added that she didn't tell her boyfriend at the time because he was having mental health issues.
Stormy Daniels reportedly didn't get the money as Michael Cohen continued 'making excuses'
Stormy Daniels said she was not paid on October 14, 2016, like she was supposed to.
"I didn't know why it was late, he just kept making excuses," Daniels testified, per CNN. Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger asked who was making excuses to which she replied, "Trump to Cohen to Davidson."
"It wasn’t a financial delay, so it made me more concerned that something bad was going to happen. And if wasn’t done before the election, it was never going to happen," Daniels added.

One X user joked, "For the record, David Dennison was Trump's high school crush."
Another tweeted, "It has already been shown that Trump did not have anything to do with Stormy Daniel. Even Stormy wrote a letter saying Trump didn't do anything. This is political persecution."
