WASHINGTON, DC: Taylor Swift's fandom is exhilarated to learn that Kamala Harris's vice presidential pick, Tim Walz, is one of them. Swifties resurfaced a two-year-old tweet of the Minnesota governor that immediately had them rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris's VP pick.

In 2022, Walz posted a picture of his cat Afton on his desk, yawning with a laptop and a Mountain Dew bottle in the background.

"Afton, after being online all day and not getting Taylor Swift tickets," read the caption, citing the quandary Swifties faced while hunting for Eras Tour tickets on Ticketmaster. Due to the significantly high demand for the tickets, the online booking platform website crashed, irking Swift's fans.

Tim Walz's Swiftie tag does not end with his cat Afton.

He declared June 23 and June 24, 2023, as "Taylor Swift Days" in the North Star State, coinciding with her concerts at US Bank Stadium.

At the time, Walz took to X (formerly Twitter) to write, "After a little bit of convincing, Afton's come around and is proud to celebrate Taylor Swift Day in Minnesota," sharing the proclamation.

It read, "Taylor Swift has enchanted and inspired Minnesotans and people all over the world. Taylor Swift will forever and always be a positive influence, setting an example with her truthfulness, grace, creativity, and strength of character."

After the ticket booking crisis, Walz also signed a "Taylor Swift bill" in May aimed at protecting online ticket buyers. The legislation was prompted by Rep Kelly Moller, who was frustrated at not being able to purchase the Eras Tour ticket for the 2023 show in Minneapolis.

The HF1989 bill was titled after the 'Bad Blood' singer's birth year.

Besides being a Swiftie, Walz is a member of Beyhive. He announced July 20, 2023, as "Beyonce Day" in his state in light of Beyonce's performance at Minnesota's Huntington Bank Stadium.

Swift, who supported President Joe Biden in the 2020 election, has not yet revealed her endorsement for the 2024 race. The pop star is currently in Europe for the ongoing international leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Swifties rally behind Tim Walz as resurfaced tweet declares his love for Taylor Swift

Swifties expressed their elation by responding to his two-year-old post on X (formerly Twitter), with many hoping for a Democratic victory in November after learning Tim Walz was also a fan of the 'Lover' singer.

"Tim walz is a confirmed swiftie tayvoodoo about to put harris/walz in the white house," wrote one, with another saying, "Tim Walz being a certified Swiftie is exactly what America needed. Ticketmaster, count your days."

"Tim Walz is a Swiftie and a member of the Beyhive?! If he unites those to fanbases it’s a 538 electoral college sweep by 10:02 on election night," noted a person.

One more response read, "Tim walz being a certified swiftie is EVERYTHING we’re beyond being back there’s unprecedented levels of mastermind and karma going on right now LONG LIVE THE WALZ WE CRASHED THROUGH."

"A swiftie?!? Oh get this dude elected now lets go," declared an individual. Another person expressed, "It's like you were made for this moment in time! Cat, Taylor Swift, Diet Dew. A man ahead of his time!"

"We finally have a Swiftie VP to take down Ticketmaster," noted one more.

Another shared a meme from 'The Wolf of Wall Street' that read, "ONE OF US! ONE OF US!"
