BEVERLY HILLS, CA: Taylor Swift reportedly went to extraordinary lengths to lock down a specific wedding date at one of Rhode Island's most prestigious venues, even buying out another bride who had already reserved it.

According to sources, the singer was intent on celebrating her marriage to Travis Kelce at the Ocean House in Watch Hill on June 13 next year.

When she discovered that the date had already been booked, insiders say Swift offered the couple a deal too generous to decline. Swift and Kelce have not commented on the claims yet.

Taylor Swift's preference for June 13 drove the offer

People close to the situation said that Swift had "cut a hefty check" to secure June 13, emphasizing that the date was always her first choice for the wedding.

Sources said Swift and Kelce had initially considered hosting the ceremony at her Watch Hill mansion. But as they expanded their guest list, it became clear that the singer's home would not accommodate their plans.

That pushed the couple toward Ocean House, a venue long admired by Taylor Swift and located only a short walk from her property.

Page Six reported that Swift and Kelce "realized they wanted to invite a lot more people than they initially thought," prompting them a shift to a larger issue.

Once Swift learned Ocean House was already reserved for that date, sources say she made a private arrangement with the bride who had booked it, one that persuaded the couple to relinquish the day.

Representatives for Swift, Kelce and Ocean House have not confirmed or denied the report.

Symbolic meaning behind the date fuels fan theories

Swift's decision to prioritize June 13, 2026, appears to connect directly to her long-established affinity for the number 13, a detail widely recognized among her fans.

Swifties quickly began decoding the significance of the chosen date, especially after noticing an additional numerological pattern. When written numerically as 6/13/26, the digits add up in a sequence that ultimately totals nine.

The numerology explanation circulating online points to a deeper symbolism. As referenced from Numerology.com, the number nine's "energy... represents completion in a cyclical sense; it's about the ending of one cycle, which creates the potential for another cycle to begin."

The site further notes that nine "acts as an usher in this process of transition or transformation, guiding and empowering us with its wisdom as its absorbs answers from a spiritual source and delivers them to us in the real world."
