Taylor Swift stuns in sparkling gold gown at close pal Este Haim’s New Year’s Eve wedding

OJAI, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift turned heads at the New Year’s Eve wedding of her close friend Este Haim and tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin at Hotel El Roblar.

The pop superstar has shared a decade-long friendship with Este and her sisters, Danielle and Alana Haim, touring and collaborating on music together. Here’s why all eyes were on Swift during the star-studded celebration.

Taylor Swift arrives at Este Haim wedding

Taylor Swift, 36, arrived at Hotel El Roblar on the evening of December 30, just as the hotel closed for the holidays from December 30 to January 2. One of her cars appeared on the property the morning of December 31 while vendors and security prepared for the event.

For the wedding, Swift dazzled in a gold sequin gown featuring a scoop neckline and a flowy pleated skirt, spending time with fellow musician Stevie Nicks.

The bride, Este Haim, completed her look with a tan shawl draped over her shoulders and a coordinating handbag. Her makeup was polished and sophisticated. It remains unclear whether Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, attended, as she flew to Kansas City on January 1..

Swift and Nicks were photographed walking into the A-list celebration, appearing to have a light conversation as they made their way to their seats. Swift styled her blond hair in a bun, while Nicks, 77, impressed in a long black gown with her hair in waves. Security closely escorted the duo as they arrived, just before the rain began.

For her wedding, 39-year-old Este Haim wore a dramatic, voluminous Louis Vuitton gown designed by her friend Nicolas Ghesquière. She later changed into a drop-waisted lace dress with spaghetti straps for the reception, while Jonathan “Johnny” Levin opted for a brown and blue ensemble. Despite heavy rain, guests danced and celebrated under tents until midnight.

Taylor Swift maintains decade-long friendship with Este Haim

The Grammy-winning Taylor Swift has maintained a decade-long friendship with Este and her sisters, Danielle and Alana Haim. The sisters, members of rock band Haim, opened for Swift on her 1989 tour in 2015.

They also joined her on the Eras Tour from March 2023 to December 2024, and Swift performed with them in London during the “One More HAIM” Tour in July 2022. The friends have collaborated on songs including “No Body, No Crime” and “Gasoline (Remix).”

All three sisters joined Swift at the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans to watch her fiancé, Travis Kelce, 36, and his Kansas City Chiefs teammates play against the Philadelphia Eagles. Shortly afterward, Este announced her engagement to Levin.

The day after Valentine’s Day, Este Haim shared a photo on Instagram wearing a shirt that read, “I’m Taken,” proudly displaying her new diamond ring. Este told Vogue that Levin’s December 2024 proposal completely surprised her.

“I had Mario Badescu acne medication on, my hair was in a top knot, I had no makeup on, and I was in sweats and sneakers, and we were on a hike,” she recalled. Levin first gave her a placeholder ring, and after she said “yes,” he added, “We need to design this ring because this is not the final thing.” She described the gesture as “really, really sweet.” 

Last month, Este and Taylor Swift stepped out for dinner together at New York City’s Chez Margaux.
