Ted Cruz’s daughter unimpressed by her father's swearing-in ceremony
On Friday, the Cruz family gathered in support of the Republican Senator’s swearing-in ceremony. Ted Cruz was accompanied by his wife Heidi, daughters Caroline and Catherine, and father Rafael, as he swore for the betterment of Texas holding the bible.
However, everyone was not impressed as Caroline let her disdain show on her face. The teenager wore a pale green column dress with intricate lace detailing and a sheer corset-style bodice.
She styled her blonde curls loosely as they fell over her shoulders and opted for understated yet glam make-up.
As her father was standing in front of Vice-President Kamala Harris, touching the Bible while taking his oath, the cameras panned onto Caroline, who looked glumly in the distance.
She, however, later regained her composure when the family gathered for an official photograph, and smiled at the camera.
The recent outing came a few months after the teenager went viral for her reactions when her father praised Trump after claiming victory as a Texas senator.
After claiming victory for the third consecutive term on November 5, Cruz took to the podium in Houston to deliver a victory speech.
While being surrounded by his family on stage, Cruz said, “I hope and pray that Donald Trump will be re-elected as President of the United States.”
Caroline, however, did not appear to share the sentiment as she scrunched up her face and appeared to look at the audience and mouth, “Don't clap for that.”
The clip went instantly viral on the internet, establishing the teenager as a critic of her father.

“A lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance, but I really disagree with most of his views,” said Caroline.
Caroline Cruz's demeanor becomes the talking point with netizens
Netizens, however, did not fail to notice Caroline during the swearing-in ceremony, as many speculated the older daughter wasn't very impressed with their father.
One of the social media users said, "Should we ask why his daughters look like hostages? Especially the blonde one she does not seem too impressed with Ted."
