NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-hosts tore into the inauguration ceremony of President Donald Trump at the start of the Tuesday, January 21, episode, as per Mediaite.

The 78-year-old MAGA spearhead was sworn in as the 47th president in an indoor ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda the previous day.

Among the five co-hosts present on Tuesday's episode, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin claimed to have seen the proceedings, while Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin opened up about their decision to skip the national event.

Sara Haines says Donald Trump demonstrated a 'godlike complex without any Jesus qualities' during inaugural address

Sara Haines claimed Donald Trump's inaugural address made her feel uncomfortable.

"I watched it, just the speech part. I remember when it was done, my first reaction was what is this country he speaks of because I immediately couldn’t reconcile the way I see the country and the people and how it is right now and where he saw it," she said.

"I just kind of felt this dark feeling and then he had this kind of martyr-like, like, you guys are downtrodden and almost irreparably — you can’t save this place, but I can, and like it had this godlike complex without any Jesus qualities," Haines added.

She also noted that she was disappointed with Trump not being more complimentary of his predecessor Joe Biden, to which her co-host Hostin chimed in saying, "I decided to protect my peace and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr Day yesterday, so I did not watch the inauguration."

Hostin shared that she spent the day eating Buffalo Wild Wings with her sorority sisters. However, she was outraged at the fact that Trump was sworn into office "on the same day as we commemorate MLK, and that same man saying he is going to get rid of diversity, equity, and inclusion."

Among the co-hosts, Griffin appeared to have the most balanced approach. The former White House aide said she would "thank" Trump for any good that he does in his second term and simultaneously call him out for "reckless" policies.

'The View' co-hosts trolled over their thoughts on Donald Trump's second inauguration

Netizens, especially conservatives, were quick to mock 'The View' co-hosts over their discussion on Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony.

One wrote, "This show is so irrelevant," and another said, "This show should be renamed The Spew, because all they do is spew hate."

"They can take away their takeaways. Nobody cares what they think," a person echoed. "Not one working brain cell at the table," someone else jibed.

"Worst satire show on TV today. I try to be open to other opinions but all they see is pure hatred. Whatever gets the ratings I guess," one more joked.

"I can't believe I once loved this show. I woke up, removed the scales from my eyes and now I see clearly. Utterly depressing and disgusting show," read another comment.
