'The View' snubs former co-host Meghan McCain while praising her brother James amid Arlington controversy
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The hosts of ‘The View’ praised Meghan McCain’s brother James McCain, also known as Jimmy, on Wednesday, September 4, after he criticized Donald Trump and endorsed Kamala Harris for president.
However, they did not mention their former co-host, a “proud member of the Republican Party,” as reported by The Daily Beast.
James recently called out Trump for allegedly taking pictures and videos in restricted areas of Arlington National Cemetery, in an interview with CNN.

People citing the Arlington National Cemetery's website reported that the restricted area is called Section 60, where “service members killed in action in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom” are interred.
“It just blows me away,” James McCain said, adding, “These men and women that are laying in the ground there have no choice. I just think that for anyone who’s done a lot of time in their uniform, they just understand that inherently — that it’s not about you there.”
“It’s about these people who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of their country,” he further said.
James also stated that “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz embody a group of people who will help make this country better and move us forward. That’s really what matters at the end of the day,” before revealing that he had changed his voter registration to Democrat, according to BBC.
Joy Behar says James McCain ‘stood up' for what's right
Conservative host Alyssa Farah Griffin praised James McCain, noting that his support for Harris “could be significant in Arizona, his home state where his father is well-loved.”
“He stood up for what’s right for the country rather than just sticking to party lines,” Joy Behar said, while Sunny Hostin added, “He’s a registered Independent, and we know that some Independents never vote Republican, while others never vote Democrat.”
“He said he switched from being an Independent to being a Democrat and he will be voting for the Harriz-Walz ticket. That says a lot because this election is really coming down to values and character and two very different visions of America,” Hostin added.

After her brother James McCain endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, Meghan McCain clarified her position on X.

I however, remain a proud member of the Republican Party and hope for brighter days ahead.
(Not voting for Harris or Trump, hope that clears things up).
