MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Singer Taylor Swift’s wedding to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was filled with emotional moments, according to the singer's aunt, Robin, who shared intimate details after the ceremony while leaving Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3.
Robin's remarks marked the first update from a member of Swift's family following the wedding, offering a glimpse inside the ceremony attended by family, friends, and celebrity guests.
The couple exchanged vows in front of around 1,000 family members, friends, and celebrity guests during a ceremony officiated by comedian and actor Adam Sandler, choosing to forgo a traditional bridal party in favor of a more personal wedding arrangement.

LBC News caught Swift's Aunt Robin leaving the venue after the celebrations, where she described the atmosphere inside the ceremony. "They cried and they laughed and they hugged and they danced and they kissed," she said, describing the emotions shared by the newlyweds throughout the celebration.
Swift married Kelce after three years together in what was described as a "quintessentially New York wedding." As she walked down the aisle, she was accompanied by her brother, Austin Swift, who served as her man of honor.
Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, stood beside him as best man. Rather than having a traditional wedding party, the couple chose not to include bridesmaids or groomsmen.
The bride and groom both wore Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections. She also wore custom Cartier jewelry, while completing their wedding attire with Christian Louboutin shoes, according to a press release.
Before her own wedding, Swift had previously served as a bridesmaid for several close friends, including Lena Dunham during her wedding to Luis Felber, childhood friend Abigail Anderson during her wedding to Matt Lucier, and hometown friend Britany Maack.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship timeline
Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end attempted to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number during one of her 'Eras Tour' concerts. Although he was unsuccessful, he later revealed on an episode of his podcast 'New Heights' that he wanted to date the singer.
In September 2023, she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game to support Kelce. At the time, a source told PEOPLE that the pair were "hanging out" and were in the "super, super early days" of getting to know one another. Since then, they have publicly supported each other at football games and concerts while also speaking openly about their relationship.
During an appearance on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' on December 10, 2025, she referred to Kelce as "the love of my life." Reflecting on major milestones, she said, "getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back. Those were two things that just might never have happened. They could have just never happened. It wasn't like, 'Oh, it's just a matter of time.’”
The couple announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, through a joint Instagram post featuring Kelce proposing in an outdoor setting surrounded by flowers. They captioned the announcement, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
Speaking on Heart Radio on October 3, 2025, Swift said she had "never thought about" planning a wedding until she met Kelce. "You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person," she said.
