WASHINGTON, DC: Speaker Mike Johnson's three distinct bills, which would provide US aid to Israel, Ukraine, and the Indo-Pacific region, received backing from President Joe Biden on Wednesday, April 17. He urged the bills' passage this week, as per The Hill.

In a statement, Biden mentioned, "The House must pass the package this week and the Senate should quickly follow. I will sign this into law immediately to send a message to the world: We stand with our friends, and we won’t let Iran or Russia succeed."

Moreover, Democrats are now free to vote in favor of the foreign aid bills with Republicans, thanks to the president's support for them. To accommodate Republican skeptics of international help without harming US national security goals, Johnson decided to advance separate legislation for aid overseas.
