MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Tim Walz accused Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of mishandling the scene following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. The incident has intensified political tensions.
Addressing reporters after the shooting, Tim Walz said that ICE officials were contaminating evidence at the scene. He said, “Federal agents are milling around, touching the vehicle at a crime scene.”
Speaking at a press conference, Walz added that although he may not have extensive National Guard training, he understands how trained professionals are expected to conduct themselves during investigations. He stressed that proper procedures must be followed in cases involving deadly force.
Tim Walz alleges ICE agents contaminated evidence at crime scene after fatal shooting
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz sharply criticized ICE following the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old woman, accusing federal agents of mishandling the crime scene. Speaking after the shooting, Tim Walz said the situation at the scene was disorderly and raised serious concerns about how federal agents conducted themselves.
He described the aftermath as deeply troubling and questioned whether proper protocols were followed. Walz said, "(It was) total chaos, I have very limited work in this from training in the National Guard but I've had a lot of training now to watch our professionals operate."
He went on to accuse ICE agents of interfering with potential evidence. Walz added, "After this person was shot, federal agents are milling around, touching the vehicle at a crime scene - I don't know what to tell you and I don't quite know how to respond to the question other than my responsibility is the protection of the people of Minnesota."
The governor also cautioned against concluding before all facts are known. He said, "If it's an act of nature, a global pandemic or in this case if it is a rogue federal agent. I don't know at this time. I want to be very careful."
He said, "It's unprecedented we have the federal government already determined exactly what happened here and the motives of an individual that we don't even know the name."

Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene
NOT A THREAT.

Videos circulating online show the moment an ICE agent shot a 37-year-old woman on Wednesday, January 7. The incident unfolded after the woman allegedly drove her SUV into the path of federal agents.
The footage shows ICE officers approaching a plum-colored Honda Pilot and ordering the driver to exit the vehicle after it blocked the agents’ truck. As the agent attempted to open her door, the victim shifted the SUV into reverse and then accelerated forward toward another officer.
That officer moved out of the vehicle’s path and fired three shots. The SUV then crashed into a parked white sedan.
