GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Minnesota Gov Tim Walz trolled former president Donald Trump as he and Vice President Kamala Harris attracted a massive crowd at the rally in Arizona.

Nearly 20,000 supporters gathered in support of the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and her newly selected running mate at the Desert Diamond Arena on Friday, August 9, in Glendale, Arizona, according to the news website Salon.

Addressing the tremendous crowd, Walz pointed out that their campaign had amassed a similar audience at the Detroit campaign stop a day before and significant support in Philadelphia and Wisconsin, too.

Harris, who entered the presidential race last month following President Joe Biden's exit from the race, picked the Minnesota governor as her running mate earlier this week.

Tim Walz takes a mocking jab at Donald Trump

Exhilarated at the raucous crowd, Walz used the opportunity to mock the GOP presidential nominee, who recently looked irked at the Mar-a-Lago press conference when asked about the crowd size at his opponent's rally stops.

"But Arizona — just couldn't leave it alone, could you?" the Minnesota governor said, receiving thunderous applause from the rallygoers.

"It's not as if anybody cares about crowd sizes or anything," he added indirectly roasting Trump.

At one point, he said that he had been told that the rally "might be the largest political gathering in the history of Arizona."

The Harris-Walz ticket attracted a larger audience at their recent rallies than Democrats in the past election cycle despite entering the race at the eleventh hour. The size, as well as the increasing media coverage, apparently annoyed Trump, who is also known for his ability to draw thousands to his campaign stops.

When pressed at the news conference at Mar-a-Lago whether he was worried about Harris' crowd size, a visibly annoyed Trump said, "Oh, give me a break."

"Listen, I had 107,000 people in New Jersey, you didn't report it. I'm so glad you asked. What did she have yesterday, 2,000 people?" the MAGA spearhead added. "If I ever had 2,000 people, you'd say my campaign is finished."

The real estate mogul also asserted that the crowd he spoke to on January 6, 2021, was the largest he'd ever addressed, which was bigger than the 1963 audience at Martin Luther King Jr's 'I Have a Dream' speech.

Harris' campaign at the Grand Canyon State and the Sun Belt was the first since her ascension as the nominee for the Democratic ticket. Rep Ruben Gallego, who is seeking a Senate seat, and Sen Mark Kelly, who was a top contender for the running mate position, also joined the vice president.

Internet joins Tim Walz to mock Trump over Arizona rally crowd

Clapping at Tim Walz's spot-on roasting of Trump, netizens noted that the Harris-Walz ticket's rally crowd would get on the ex-president's nerves.

"Donald Trump must be seething right now," a user wrote.

"Trolling the old weird and narcissist guy is the best way to get into his nerves," another said.

"Walz plays dirty and we are all for it," read a third response.

"Picking this guy just to get under Trump's skin was enough tbh," added a fourth user.

"Is it wrong that I am throughly enjoying these slick soft verbal jabs landing so strategically and adeptly on the other competitor?" Someone else asked.

"Here for @Tim_Walz needling a beautiful tapestry of Trump jokes all campaign," an individual wrote.

"We all know who is OBSESSED with crowd size," another user chimed in.

"Lol they just picked this guy to troll the angry Cheeto He will be so angry," read one remark.
