PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Social media users described Donald Trump's unusual Mar-a-Lago press conference as "massively overconfident," "incoherent," and "one egg short of an [omelet.]"

In his disjointed comments, Trump repeated his common complaints to the press, falsely claiming that the Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris would "force" Americans to purchase electric vehicles and asserted that the vice president wasn't "smart enough to do a news conference."

Donald Trump claims his speeches had larger audience than Martin Luther King's

Former President Donald Trump boasted that the audience he addressed on January 6, 2021, was the largest he has ever spoken before and claimed that the individuals arrested following the Capitol breach were subjected to "very unfair" treatment, The Hill reported.

Trump asserted that his speeches drew a larger audience than the 'I Have a Dream' speech given by civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr.

“The biggest crowd I’ve ever spoken before was that day,” Trump said at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. “And I’ll tell you, it’s very hard to find a picture of that crowd. … If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours. Same real estate. Same everything. Same number of people, if not, we had more," he added.

“We actually had more people. They said I had 25,000, and he had 1 million people. And I’m OK with it, because I liked Dr Martin Luther King,” Trump concluded.

Internet slams Donald Trump for his antics

Unsurprisingly, X, the former Twitter, was abuzz with talk about Trump's antics.

One user referred to his press conference as "bad improv" writing, "It's like bad improv at this point. Not funny, not present, doesn't understand the word the audience just tried to prompt him with... but massively overconfident in his skills."

Another user added, "If watching Trump's public meltdown at Mar-a-lago right now, you think he's stable and cognitively able enough to entrust with the lives of our Troops and the lives of your families, we don't know what to tell you. The old man is one egg short of an omelette."

The third commentator mentioned, "Let's be honest: the guy looks terrified, with all sorts of weak body language. He also looks worn down physically."

"I find this man super weird and I did a love scene with a duck. #trumpmeltdown" One remarked.

A person claimed, "This is the day the Trump campaign died. It's over."

Other chimed in, "Oh my god, he is so rattled by Vice President Harris. The man is melting down over her crowd sizes."

Internet says Trump should speak every day to contribute to Kamala Harris' campaign

While Trump has faced criticism on social media, this does not necessarily mean that people wish for him to cease his activities. Some even mocked him, suggesting he do it "every day."

"Please do this every day as an in-kind contribution to the Harris campaign. That was completely insane," wrote one.

Another prayed, "Please God let him do this every day for three months"

One of Kamala Harris' supporter wrote, "I think it would be best if she never spoke again until the first debate. I think Trump should speak every day for an hour and a half. Prime time. Every day he speaks, less people will vote for him, not more. I’m going to vote for her because the thought of him being in power makes me sick to my stomach. The less she says the better."

Former Trump press secretary Anthony Scaramucci commented that the entire event indicated to him that "Trump is scared."
