WASHINGTON, DC: Hope‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Walz, the 24-year-old daughter of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, one of the big names among the critics of President Donald Trump, spoke out about the apparent harassment and hatred her family has faced in the wake of Trump's remarks, depicting the onslaught as a "s**tstorm."

In the TikTok video, she ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌specified that her brother, Gus Walz, who has a nonverbal learning disability, was singled out.

“The president calling my dad what he did has unleashed a f**king s**tstorm, regarding, like, offensive language towards me and my family, and specifically my brother,” Hope Walz said in a searing TikTok video on Saturday, December 7.

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ 24-year-old mentioned that she knows her father is a public figure, and therefore he will be criticized. However, she added that what has been most heartbreaking to her is the president's supporters' way of insulting her brother in a manner that is ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌terrible.

"How is it okay that the president of the United States can call somebody, anybody, it doesn’t matter who they are, that? And then all of his frickin’ cult members come and attack those people,” she said.

When Trump called Tim Walz 'seriously r******d'

The controversy stems from a post made by Trump on Thanksgiving, in which he described Governor Walz as "seriously r******d."

The remark came amid broader criticisms by Trump of Minnesota’s immigrant communities and state leadership. Critics, including disability-rights groups and many lawmakers, denounced the language as derogatory and ableist.

Trump later doubled down on his use of the word while speaking to the press aboard Air Force One, saying, "Yeah, I think there’s something wrong with him. Absolutely. Sure. You have a problem with it? You know what? I think there’s something wrong with him."

Hope Walz slams those calling her family 'r******d' as 'f**king  disgraceful'

Through her TikTok video, Hope expressed that the aftereffects have been a source of grief and terror, not only to her father's image in politics but also to her brother's honor and ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌security.

She said that, since the president’s attacks, she and her family have received "absolutely horrendous" messages on social media; she also said a person drove by and called her family the "R-word" a few days ago. Governor Walz also talked about a similar incident on Thursday.

Hope ended her video by saying, "You people are f**king disgraceful. Shame on you, all of you."
