MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: White House Border Czar Tom Homan on Thursday, February 12 praised President Donald Trump as the federal government prepares to wind down a major immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota.

Homan called the operation a success and credited Trump’s leadership for what he described as historic progress on border security and interior enforcement.

In a post on X, Homan wrote that “no president has delivered more, or has done it better, than President Trump” when it comes to enforcing immigration law and protecting American communities.

He highlighted the president’s “leadership and commitment to ensuring law and order, public safety, and prosperity for American communities,” adding that the current administration has set a new standard for border security and immigration enforcement.

Homan also thanked the “dedicated, talented men and women of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and US Customs and Border Protection” who carried out the operation.

“When it comes to border security and immigration enforcement, no president has delivered more, or has done it better, than President Trump,” Homan reiterated.

Tom Homan says Trump approved end of Minnesota ICE surge

Homan said he spent time on the ground assessing the surge’s progress and meeting with federal, state, local, and community stakeholders.

He described the operation as a response to an “intense, unlawful, and dangerous situation” in the state and said coordination among agencies improved significantly.

Because of what he characterized as positive results, Homan said he proposed ending the surge and that “the president concurred.”

He reported that ICE’s target list in Minnesota has been “significantly reduced” and that many public safety threats have been removed from local communities.

Streets calmer in Minnesota after agitator activity drops, Tom Homan says

Another major goal of the surge was addressing disruptions from protesters and groups attempting to interfere with federal agents.

According to Homan, unlawful agitator activity has “notably decreased,” and streets are now calmer.

He credited state and local law enforcement for stepping up to shut down illegal actions and for working more closely with federal agencies.

“The far left and extreme, organized agitator groups can try to spin this however they want, but these are the facts,” Homan said.

He maintained that “Minnesota communities are safer as a result” of the operation.

Tom Homan says agents redeployed to other immigration enforcement missions

Although the surge in Minnesota is ending, Homan said the agents involved will continue immigration enforcement in other parts of the country.

“Our officers and agents deployed here will continue immigration enforcement actions in other locations across the country to deliver on the president’s goals to maintain border security and conduct mass deportations,” he said.
