KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: In a surprising turn of events, conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, who previously criticized Taylor Swift by labeling her "braindead," has now voiced support for the singer.

Lahren defended Swift's right to attend NFL games and show support for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as he approaches another Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Taylor Swift and the tight end publicly revealed their relationship in September, notably when she attended one of his games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Since then, Swift has been a frequent presence at Kelce's games. However, her attendance has garnered significant publicity, and some critics have accused her of being too distracting.

Tomi Lahren defended Taylor Swift's right to attend NFL games and support her boyfriend on X on January 30, stating, "It's not Taylor Swift's fault the NFL and media are exploiting her appearances at games. She is allowed to go to games, she is allowed to support her boyfriend. If football fans are annoyed, take it up with your NFL."

Tomi Lahren's supportive comments regarding Taylor Swift come as a surprise, considering Lahren's previous criticisms of Swift, including labeling her as "braindead."

Lahren made this statement on her podcast, 'Tomi Lahren is Fearless', when Swift and Kelce first made their relationship public.

Tomi Lahren expresses admiration for Taylor Swift despite political differences

Despite their political differences, Lahren expressed admiration for Swift, stating, "Her lefty, liberal braindead political opinions aside, I am a fan of Taylor Swift and I have been since way before she went full liberal. She's also single-handedly done more for the US economy than any Democrat president, maybe ever, and when I heard the rumors of her and Travis Kelce, at first, I thought, there is no way this is gonna last."

Tomi Lahren expressed her thoughts on Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce, highlighting Kelce's athletic qualities, stating, "I mean, he's an athlete. He's big, he's strong, and unlike her other boyfriends, looks like he can withstand a strong breeze without falling over or crying. So not necessarily her type as you can see, but then I saw this ad, and well, it all came together for me."

Lahren's positive comments about Swift contrast with the recent trend of conservatives, including some on Fox News, expressing dislike for the singer. This departure from the norm signifies a break from the usual stance of Republicans regarding Taylor Swift.
