WASHINGTON, DC: Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former advisor to former President Donald Trump, set off a chain of jokes on Monday, April 29, when she unveiled her newest children's book, 'The Princess and her Pup', according to Newsweek.

Notably, Guilfoyle's book release follows criticism directed at Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota and a presumed Trump vice presidential candidate, for acknowledging that she killed one of her dogs in a gravel pit during a pheasant hunt.

Guilfoyle posted a photo on X with a caption that read, "I’m thrilled to announce that my new children’s book “The Princess & her Pup” is now available for pre-order at http://KGpup.com. I partnered with @BraveBooksUS on this heartfelt story that teaches children that it’s easier to be courageous with a friend by your side."

She added, "And 10 percent of all proceeds will go to @FurryFriendsJup an incredible organization which provides complete care for abused and abandoned dogs and cats."

Notably, an excerpt from Noem's upcoming book, 'No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward', was published by The Guardian last week.

In the book, the governor described shooting Cricket, a 14-month-old puppy with an 'aggressive personality'.

Cricket attacked a family's chickens on the way home from the hunting excursion, "grabb[ing] one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another".

She went on to say that Cricket 'whipped around to bite me' as she grabbed him.

She wrote, "At that moment, I realized I had to put her down." In addition, the governor noted that she 'hated that dog', calling it 'untrainable' and 'dangerous to anyone she came in contact with'.

Noem has been the target of criticism from both Democrats and Republicans since the passage's publication.

She posted on X on Sunday, April 28, "I can understand why some people are upset about a 20-year-old story of Cricket, one of the working dogs at our ranch, in my upcoming book—No Going Back. The book is filled with many honest stories of my life, good and bad days, challenges, painful decisions, and lessons learned."

Internet trolls Kimberly Guilfoyle for launching dog book amid Kristi Noem's dog fiasco

People on the internet trolled Kimberly Guilfoyle as she unveiled her newest children's book, 'The Princess and her Pup' amid Kristi Noem's dog fiasco.

A user wrote on X, "Being a self-absorbed Mar-a-Lardo cougar is probably not the best background for writing children's books. Releasing a book about a puppy right after Kristi Noem's book shows how tone-deaf this grifting family is" while another added, "Does this end with the pup in a gravel pit?"

A user stated, "If this is a dig at @GovKristiNoem, good job. If not, stop drifting!" whereas another mentioned, "Please tell me it’s not based on Kristi Noem."

A user also said, "Hope it’s better than Noem’s book 'the cricket and the gravel pit'."
