WASHINGTON, D.C.: Donald Trump has alleged that Iran is using artificial intelligence (AI) to spread fake news about the US amid the ongoing war between the two countries. The president claimed that Tehran has published fake photos and videos to show US military losses.

Posting on Truth Social on Sunday, March 15, he wrote, “Iran has long been known as a Master of Media Manipulation and Public Relations. They are Militarily ineffective and weak, but are really good at ‘feeding’ the very appreciative Fake News Media false information.”

Calling AI Tehran’s “another Disinformation weapon,” he accused the Middle Eastern country of showing “phony ‘Kamikaze Boats,’ shooting at various Ships at Sea, which looks wonderful, powerful, and vicious, but these Boats don’t exist — It’s all false information to show how ‘tough’ their already defeated Military is!”

In the Sunday post, Trump went on to mention all the “fake” narratives set by Iran against the US. He also called out “The Radical Leftwing Press” who “continues to go forward with false stories and LIES. That’s why their Approval Rating is so low.”

The Republican then pivoted to his own potential presidential bid, noting, “I can win a Presidential Election, IN A LANDSLIDE, getting only 5 per cent positive Press — They have no credibility!”

Trump also hailed Brendan Carr, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), for investigating the licenses of “some of these Corrupt and Highly Unpatriotic ‘News’ Organizations.”

Trump added that these “Unpatriotic ‘News’ Organizations” are spending billions of dollars to spread lies, and criticized the “Late Night Morons, who get gigantic Salaries for horrible Ratings, and never get, as I used to say in The Apprentice, ‘FIRED.’”

The US commander-in-chief’s rant came after Iran claimed it had hit the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. However, US Central Command (CENTCOM) immediately clarified the situation by posting on X, “The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group continues to support Operation Epic Fury and project power from the sea.”
