Trump announces ‘rally to end all rallies’ for America 250 after multiple artists exit concert
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump announced on Thursday, June 4, that he will host what he described as a “rally to end all rallies” in Washington, DC, later this month as part of celebrations marking the United States’ 250th anniversary. The announcement comes after several performers withdrew from a planned Freedom 250 concert.
Trump said the June 24 event would replace the emphasis on a large-scale concert lineup and instead focus on speeches, patriotic music and military performances. The rally is expected to serve as a major kickoff event ahead of a broader series of America 250 celebrations planned across the country.

Announcing the event in a post on Truth Social, Trump described the gathering as “the Greatest Rally, EVER!”
“On Wednesday, June 24th, at 7 PM, in magnificent Washington, DC... in celebration of our Country’s 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER!” Trump wrote. “It will be special at every level, a Rally to end all Rallies!”
Trump also took aim at some of the musical performers previously associated with the Freedom 250 concert series. “We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home,” he wrote. “All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played, the same Music you have listened to for years!”
The president had previously floated replacing the concert series with a rally after news of the withdrawals emerged. Last week, he suggested that a large public gathering would be preferable to “overpriced singers” and indicated that organizers should consider changing course.
Trump said country singer Lee Greenwood would participate in the event and introduce him with “God Bless the USA,” a song frequently featured at his political rallies. He also announced appearances by tenor Christopher Macchio, the US Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” the Armed Forces Choir, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band and the Joint Armed Forces Chorus.
It is a tremendous honor to join our amazing President, Donald J. Trump in Washington, D.C., on June 24 as our nation begins the celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

Performer withdrawals prompt shift in event plans
The rally announcement follows a series of high-profile performer withdrawals from the Great American State Fair concert series, one of the centerpiece attractions planned by Freedom 250.
Several artists, including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, The Commodores, Young MC and Morris Day, later announced they would no longer participate. Some performers said they were unaware of the event’s connection to Freedom 250 and the White House when they initially agreed to appear.
The America 250 celebrations extend beyond Washington. Planned events include a major fireworks display on July 4, a UFC event on White House grounds, celebrations in Times Square, commemorative activities in Philadelphia and additional events in cities across the country.
