Trump blasts ‘super bad photo’ on Time cover despite flattering coverage of his Gaza peace bid

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL: President Donald Trump took issue with his latest Time Magazine cover on Tuesday, blasting what he called a “super bad photo” that made him look “weird” even as the accompanying story praised his Middle East peace efforts.
The cover, titled “His Triumph,” was released as Trump concluded his tour of Israel and Egypt following a landmark Gaza ceasefire deal.

Trump calls out Time Magazine over ‘weird’ photo
Trump, who returned from Sharm El-Sheikh on Tuesday, expressed disbelief at how 'Time' chose to depict him. “It disappeared my hair and had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one,” he complained on Truth Social.
“Really weird! I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture and deserves to be called out. What are they doing and why?”
The president went on to call the image “the Worst of All Time,” a jab at the magazine’s design choice.
Time cover story praises Trump’s Middle East achievement
Despite his frustration with the image, Trump acknowledged that Time’s article was “relatively good.”

The feature, titled “How the Trump Administration Sealed the Gaza Ceasefire Deal,” detailed the behind-the-scenes diplomacy led by envoy Steve Witkoff and senior advisor Jared Kushner.
The story described how their “painstaking efforts” helped “quiet one of the world’s most destabilizing conflicts” and noted that the Gaza peace agreement “could become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term.”
Trump’s Middle East tour draws warm reception
Time unveiled the issue on Monday, just as Trump landed in Israel to meet families of released hostages and deliver a historic address before the Knesset.

The president then traveled to Egypt for a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh focused on sustaining the ceasefire, rebuilding Gaza, and developing a long-term framework for peace.
During the summit, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi reportedly told Trump that “only you can bring peace to the region.” Trump, in his own remarks, declared that the Middle East had “a once-in-a-lifetime chance to put the old feuds and bitter hatreds behind us.”

He called on regional leaders “to declare that our future will not be ruled by the fights of generations past.”
Trump returns to Washington for Charlie Kirk Medal of Freedom ceremony

Following his Middle East visit, Trump is expected to return to Washington, DC, to honor the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The posthumous ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday.
Speaking to reporters before departing Egypt, Trump said, “I’m coming back for Charlie Kirk, a friend of mine, a friend of all of ours… We’re giving him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the highest honor you get outside of the Congressional Medal of Honor.”

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically shot dead on September 10 while debating students at Utah Valley University. Trump said Kirk’s widow, Erika, will attend the ceremony, along with “a lot of people who loved him.”
Before the White House ceremony, Trump is set to meet Argentina’s President Javier Milei for lunch.
