NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A woman in a post on X (previously Twitter), blamed former president Donald Trump for being the reason for her divorce.

The user @Soaps_Hope disclosed that eight years of stress and the political turmoil especially related to Trump, led her to seek a divorce. But her attempts to pin the blame on the Republican presidential hopeful did not sit well with his supporters who blamed her for the "toxic relationship."

She wrote in another post, "I’ve blocked so many a**h**es today telling me that politics shouldn’t break a marriage. But Donald Trump is not politics. Never was. He’s the fundamental difference between right and wrong. He has been a test on this nation. So many people failed. Including my husband."

@Soaps_Hope concluded her tweet marathon by posing a question. She inquired about preventing other X users from retweeting her posts, restricted comments on her post, and then set her tweets to private, making them visible only to approved followers.

Internet divided over @Soaps_Hope's tweet

Numerous X users have come forward to discuss @Soaps_Hope's incident. Some commentators disagreed with @Soaps_Hope and a few respondents also believed that the woman was mistaken and unfairly attributed blame to Donald Trump.

A user said, "lol.. yes, continue to blame others for your own issues.. bet that’s been a similar thread in your life."

Another added, "I want to see the husbands posts. I bet politics weren’t the biggest factor on his side, she seems like she is insufferable."

One commentator wrote, "I bet her husband is glad he’s not with that crazy woman anymore. He’s probably out celebrating that he’s free from her."

"Don’t put your toxic relationship on Trump. It’s you. No one else. You," said a critic.

A person remarked, "Donald Trump is not responsible for your marriage breaking up. You and your husband are."

Someone else chimed in, "they really blame him for everything"
