DETROIT, MICHIGAN: President Donald Trump said that he has secured commitments for over 18 trillion dollars from all over the world as he touted about the booming economy under his leadership during his speech at Economic Club on Tuesday, January 13.

Trump slams Biden administration for failing to secure new investment in US

During his speech at the Economic Club, Donald Trump spoke about the booming American economy. He said that the Trump Economic Boom had become official on November 5 and that one of the metrics to measure the changing state of the economy was the rising rates of military enlistment.

Trump noted that before the elections, it was impossible to get people to enlist for the defence services. He added that things changed after the Trump administration took office, and said that America had the “strongest” enlistment in the country’s history.

“We enlist by merit now. We won a Supreme Court case that said you hire by merit, you go to college by merit. Everything’s by merit. Our country became great because of merit,” he praised.

As he spoke of the former president, Joe Biden’s term, Donald Trump said that America had the worst enlistment a year and a half ago. He said that America had gone from worst to best under his term in office as he continued to criticize the Biden administration.

Trump said that in four years of office, Joe Biden had secured less than 1 trillion dollars of new investment in the United States.

“In less than one year, I have secured commitments for over 18 trillion dollars from all over the world,” Donald Trump said.

Trump says Biden left ‘stagflation catastrophe’

During the speech, Donald Trump claimed that Joe Biden left the Trump administration a “stagflation catastrophe” that his government had ended. He said that during his second term, the Trump administration had been able to achieve “almost no inflation and super high growth.”

“We have the highest growth we have ever had,” Trump said.

The president said that they had been able to achieve so much in less than a year despite inheriting the economy in the worst possible shape from Joe Biden. Trump further boasted about the changing state of the economy under his term and said that as of Tuesday morning, the Core Inflation, for the past three months, stood at 1.6%.
