WASHINGTON, DC: As the deadline for the Pakistan-brokered two-week temporary ceasefire is looming, President Trump fired back on claims that the US is losing the Iran war.

Making a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump reiterated the US’s edge over Iran ahead of the second round of peace talks.

Donald Trump says he is winning Iran war ‘by a lot’

Trump, in a post on Truth Social on Monday, April 20, said that he was winning the war “by a lot” and that things were going very well, as he apparently advised people not to read “fake news” by “horrendous” and “failing” outlets that show the US is losing the war.

“I’m winning a War, BY A LOT, things are going very well, our Military has been amazing and, if you read the Fake News, like The Failing New York Times, the absolutely horrendous and disgusting Wall Street Journal, or the now almost defunct, fortunately, Washington Post, you would actually think we are losing the War,” Trump wrote in Truth social post.

He continued stating that even the enemy was confused with the fake news because they are losing the war, yet what he described as “anti-American fake news media” shows the US as one losing the war.

Donald Trump lists Iran’s failures

“The enemy is confused, because they get these same Media “reports,” and yet they realize their Navy has been completely wiped out, their Air Force has gone onto darker runways, they have no Anti Missile or Anti Airplane Equipment, their former leaders are mostly gone (This has been, in addition to everything else, Regime Change!),” Trump added.

He further emphasised that the blockade will continue until a peace deal is sealed, as he said that the blockade was hitting Iran the most.

“They are losing $500 Million Dollars a day, an unsustainable number, even in the short run,” he said.

Donald Trump accuses ‘anti-America’ media of cheering for Iran

He further lashed out at media reports claiming that the US was on the back foot in the ongoing war with Iran. He described the news portals as “anti-America fake news media” and accused them of cheering for Iran.

He added, “The Anti-America Fake News Media is rooting for Iran to win, but it’s not going to happen, because I’m in charge! Just like these unpatriotic people used every ounce of their limited strength to fight me in the Election, they continue to do so with Iran.”

“The result will be the same — It already is,” Trump concluded his post.

In an interview with New York Post, Trump pushed back against lawmakers across the party line, urging a quicker resolution, arguing that pressure could weaken their negotiation power amid peace talks.
