WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump posted two statements on social media on May 28, harshly criticizing the prosecution's closing arguments in hush money trial, Newsmax reports.

Taking to the social media platform Truth Social, Trump posted two different posts - 'Boring!' and 'Filibuster!' Throughout the trial, Donald Trump has been actively posting updates on social media.

As the prosecution resumed its final arguments from the Manhattan courthouse following its return from lunch, Trump made one-word posts during a lull in the proceedings.



 

Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass informed Judge Juan Merchan that he was approximately one-third of the way through his summation to the jury after 90 minutes, The Hill reports.



 

The report states that Trump's legal team completed its summary in a little over two hours. A jury will soon decide Trump's fate over 34 charges of falsifying business records. Moreover, hours of closing arguments won't change the fact that the prosecution never did show an underlying crime, retired New Jersey judge Andrew Napolitano informed Newsmax.

Napolitano said, "The government not only must prove that the 34 deceptive payments were recorded inaccurately, but that they were done to mask an underlying crime. The government hasn't, in my view, presented that beyond a reasonable doubt. It's just suggested what it might be."

Several internet users slammed Donald Trump as he harshly criticized the prosecution's closing arguments on social media. A user posted on X, "LOL. Poor trump is confused" while one added, "Sociopath Trump doesn’t want anything to get done if he isn’t President."



 



 

A person also stated, "Is this his sad attempt to influence a juror" whereas one mentioned, "Ahhh Poor Donny, not liking the damaging case being summarized before your eyes?"



 



 

A user also said, "There has to be more. I'm about to pass out on the couch, what am I supposed to filibuster?" while one added, "Yes we know that’s what you do. You lie in paragraphs."



 



 

A person also mentioned, "Somebody, please give him a coloring book!" while one noted, "Do you have any idea what happens after a conviction? You go to intake, you go on and get strip searched, change clothes, Then they’ll shave your head and and get you ready for General Pop, where you get to meet your boyfriend".
