WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump turned an ordinary day of White House renovations into a memorable occasion for a group of contractors on Friday, August 22, inviting them into the Oval Office for an impromptu meeting filled with jokes, keepsakes, and camaraderie.

The moment was shared online through a series of videos posted by Margo Martin, special assistant to the president and communications adviser, who captured Trump stopping by “The People’s House” gift shop, located across the street from the White House, before greeting the workers.

Once inside the Oval Office, Donald Trump tossed each of the four men a bright red “Make America Great Again” hat, embroidered with the numbers 45 and 47 to mark his past and current presidential terms.

“You could put these up for $25,000 on eBay,” Trump joked, drawing laughs from the group.

The president then invited the contractors over to the Resolute Desk, where he pulled out keepsakes from his drawer. While they first appeared to be coasters or buttons, Martin later clarified they were “challenge coins,” a collectible item often handed out by US presidents and officials.

The clips quickly gained traction online, with supporters praising the interaction as an example of Trump’s approachable and personable side, similar to previous campaign moments when he donned an apron at McDonald’s or hopped into a garbage truck wearing a safety vest to surprise workers.

This wasn’t the first time Trump has shared a candid moment with workers on White House grounds. In June, during the installation of two new flagpoles, the commander-in-chief stopped to banter with a group of construction workers in neon vests and hard hats.
