WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took a shot and attempted to speak Spanish as he tried to translate "Make America Great Again" during a recent Fox News interview on Tuesday, April 15.

Notably, Fox News host, Rachel Campos-Duffy, took the opportunity to teach the president how to say his political slogan during the interview, according to Irish Star.

Campos-Duffy said during the interview, "Mr President, I would like to teach you how to say 'Let's Make America Great Again' in Spanish. 'Vamos a hacer America grande otra vez.'"

Meanwhile, Trump responded, "America grande otra vez!"

Although it wasn’t the full phrase, the POTUS gave it his best shot, repeating the translation as “America grande otra vez,” which means “America great again.”

Interestingly, Campos-Duffy’s husband, Sean Duffy, is the current Secretary of Transportation in Trump’s administration, per the outlet.

During the interview, Trump talked about the importance of his return to office. He said, "People have said if you didn’t win, this country was going to fail. It was going to fail. Financially and otherwise, it was going to fail, maybe even worse in so many other ways with all of this horrible stuff that they made you believe."

"Our country was going to be a big failure, and it wasn’t going to be long," he continued.

Trump reflected on his first 100 days back in office and said, "The United States is respected all over the world again."

Interestingly, the Fox Noticias interview was broadcast in two parts, with the first part airing on Tuesday and the second scheduled for online broadcast and on FOX Deportes at 4 PM ET on Wednesday, April 16.

Trump's interview comes amid ongoing legal challenges against his administration, including the deportation of a Maryland man to El Salvador.

The conversation followed the POTUS meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele in the White House.

Meanwhile, during his Oval Office press conference with Bukele, the president considered sending American citizens to El Salvador's infamous ultra-max prison, while the Salvadoran President declined to commit to returning a Maryland father who had been deported illegally.

Moreover, Trump praised Bukele as a "great guy" who has made El Salvador "safe and secure" due to his mass arrests and imprisonment of suspected gang members.
