NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump was caught on video claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris would be replacing incumbent Joe Biden after the latter's abysmal performance at the June 27 debate.

The video went viral over the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, June 3, as voices from within the Democratic Party and its supporters have been growing in favor of Biden stepping out of the 2024 race.

The viral video of Donald Trump

The leaked video on X shows the presumptive GOP nominee sitting in a golf cart while delivering a brutal assessment of Biden and Harris. The footage appears covertly filmed, without mentioning the time or place.

"How did I do with the debate the other night? I kicked that old, broken down pile of c**p," he tells the people around him, referring to the first presidential debate against Joe Biden hosted by CNN. "Too bad that he (Biden) just quit, you know. He's quitting the race."

"I got him I got him out of the race, and that means we have Kamala. I think she's going to be better (as an opponent)," he remarks, before chiding, "She's so bad. She's so pathetic. She's just so f**king bad."

Trump goes back to slamming President Biden, saying, "Can you imagine that guy dealing with Putin? And the president of China—who’s a fierce person. He’s a fierce man, very tough guy. And they see him (Biden).”

"But they just announced he’s probably quitting. Just keep knocking him out, huh?” he reiterates, before driving off in the cart.

Statement from campaigns of Donald Trump and Joe Biden

The Trump campaign was approached by The Daily Beast for comments on the video. They directed the publication to a statement released earlier on Wednesday that read, "Every Democrat who is calling on Crooked Joe Biden to quit was once a supporter of Biden and his failed policies that lead to extreme inflation, an open border, and chaos at home and abroad."

“Make no mistake that Democrats, the mainstream media, and the swamp colluded to hide the truth from the American public - Joe Biden is weak, failed, dishonest, and not fit for the White House,” it continued. “Every one of them has lied about Joe Biden’s cognitive state and supported his disastrous policies over the past four years, especially Cackling Copilot Kamala Harris.”

Trump “will beat any Democrat on November 5th because he has a proven record and an agenda to Make America Great Again," concluded the message.

The response from Biden's campaign, released on Wednesday night, stated "No, Donald,” the campaign said. “What is bad is taking away women’s rights, what is bad is losing an election and encouraging a violent mob to attack the Capitol, what is bad is assaulting women, what is bad is not paying your taxes, what is bad is rooting for our economy to fail...”

It called out the former President over a host of issues, including “committing 34 felonies,” “wanting to make yourself a dictator on day one,” and “running on a platform of your revenge and retribution ahead of what is best for our country."

“Thanks for letting us clear that up for you,” it concluded.

Team Biden has consistently denied that the incumbent is stepping out of the race, with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre sharing at the press briefing on Wednesday that Biden is “absolutely not” even considering throwing in the towel.

Internet reacts to Trump's leaked video

MAGA supporters praise Trump while reacting to the viral video over X, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"It’s like he knows what 90% of Americans are thinking but too scared to say," wrote a user.

"Well, this shows he's not saying one thing in public and another in private, and that he's got restraint with the words he chooses in public speaking settings. He's legit," commented another.

"President Trump never puts on a fake persona, he’s the same guy in private as he is in public," stated a third.

"Colorful. Don’t detect any lies," quipped a fourth.

"The man speaks the truth in person and on video. What you see is what you get," shared a fifth.
