WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump escalated his campaign to reshape the Republican Party on Wednesday, February 25, unleashing a string of endorsements and denunciations aimed squarely at Indiana state lawmakers who opposed his preferred redistricting plan.

In a rapid-fire series of posts on Truth Social, Trump handed out what he called his “complete and total endorsement” to a slate of challengers while branding several incumbent Republicans as “RINO”- short for “Republican in Name Only” and urging primary voters to replace them.

Trump blasts six Republican lawmakers for jeopardizing House majority

Trump began by backing Bluffton City Councilman Blake Fiechter in a primary challenge against State Sen Travis Holdman.

In his post, Trump wrote, “Holdman, for whatever reason, voted against Redistricting in Indiana, in a District that I won by 39 points, which puts the United States Congress in jeopardy."

"Holdman and his RINO friends made Indiana, a State I love and have been very good to, the only State in the Country that essentially said they don’t care about what happens in the United States Congress," he added.

He continued, “We could have easily picked up two seats in Indiana, so Holdman, an America Last politician, put our Majority in the House of Representatives at risk, thereby putting our Country in a very dangerous position in losing some of the magnificent gains that we have made over the last year, since I assumed the Office of President.”

The language signaled that Trump viewed redistricting not merely as a state issue, but as central to maintaining Republican control of the US House.

Holdman was not alone. Trump also attacked five other GOP lawmakers who voted against the plan: “pathetic” Jim Buck, “ineffective RINO incumbent” Spencer Deery, “No Goode” Greg Goode, “LOSER” Greg Walker, and Eric Bassler, whom Trump suggested had been “run out of town” by his Voters.

Trump promotes 'America First' candidates

Alongside the denunciations, Trump rolled out endorsements for challengers he believed aligned more closely with his “America First” agenda.

Beyond Fiechter, Trump endorsed “America First Patriot” Tracey Powell, “WINNER” Paula Copenhaver, “Successful Family Farmer” Brenda Wilson, “REAL Republican” Michelle Davis and Jeff Ellington, who “WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

The clash stemmed from a December vote in which the Indiana Senate rejected Trump’s preferred redistricting framework by a 31–19 margin.

The proposal was designed to strengthen Republican prospects in congressional races ahead of 2026.

Immediately after the vote, Trump warned there would be a “MAGA primary” against what he called Indiana “SUCKERS” who defied him.

Wednesday’s endorsement barrage appeared to be the fulfillment of that threat.
