Trump made 1000+ trades worth up to $263M in June, but WH insists there's 'no conflict'
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump made more than 1,000 securities trades in June worth between $78.1 million and $263.1 million, according to a financial disclosure published by the US Office of Government Ethics on Saturday, August 22.
The transactions included purchases and sales involving some of America’s biggest companies, including Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, Mastercard, Meta, and Home Depot.
The filing lists transaction values in broad ranges rather than providing exact figures.
The White House said Trump’s investments are independently managed and that neither the president nor his family directs individual investment decisions.
More than 1,000 trades disclosed
Trump’s largest reported transaction was the sale of between $5 million and $25 million worth of shares in a Vanguard Group exchange-traded fund on June 22.
The disclosure also showed several transactions involving Palantir. Trump bought between $1,001 and $15,000 worth of the software company’s shares on June 3 before making additional sales later that month.
He also purchased between $1 million and $5 million in Berkshire Hathaway shares on June 18 and sold a smaller amount days later.
Trump sold between $1 million and $5 million in Meta shares before later buying smaller amounts.
Other companies listed in the June transactions included Coinbase, Visa, Mastercard, Cintas, and Home Depot.
The disclosure offers a detailed look at the securities moving through Trump’s investment accounts during a single month.
Trump's portfolio remained highly active
The June activity followed a year of extensive trading.
Trump made more than 21,000 securities transactions in 2025, according to the figures provided in the disclosure report.
Those trades had a reported total value ranging from approximately $600 million to $1.86 billion.
The filings also showed instances in which the same security was bought and sold within a short period.
Because federal financial disclosures report transactions within value ranges, the exact value of Trump’s June activity is not publicly known. The reported $263.1 million figure represents the upper end of the combined ranges listed in the filing.
Trump’s latest disclosure again puts his personal investment activity in public view while he serves as president.
White House addresses conflict questions
The White House rejected suggestions that Trump’s investment holdings create a conflict of interest, saying the accounts are managed independently.
“All holdings are maintained in discretionary accounts and invested through computer-based model portfolios that automatically replicate recognized indexes, such as the Schwab 1000,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle said.
Ingle said neither Trump nor members of his family could direct or influence when investments were bought or sold.
“All investment decisions are made entirely by independent managers,” he added.
Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, has previously said the assets are held in a blind trust.
