HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump forgot his opponent in the upcoming general election for a brief moment while speaking at a town hall event moderated by Fox News host Sean Hannity in the swing state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, September 5.

While attacking his political rivals, Trump mentioned the name of President Joe Biden as his rival instead of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

While Biden was initially seeking reelection this year, he faced increasing criticism over his mental acuity from across the aisle, which made him drop out of the 2023 race and endorse Harris.

In a viral clip uploaded by the account Kamala HQ on X (formerly Twitter), Trump can be seen saying at the event, "I can't imagine New Hampshire voting for him. Anybody in New Hampshire, cause they are watching right now, but anybody in New Hampshire that votes for Biden and Kamala... I really think..." The video ended before Trump finished his rambling train of thought.

Donald Trump calls Kamala Harris becoming Dem nominee 'unfair'

During the event, Donald Trump argued that it was "unfair" for Vice President Kamala Harris to become the Democratic nominee after presumptive nominee Joe Biden dropped out on July 21, reported Newsweek.

"It's very unfair," he said. "She ran against (Biden) in the primary, she got no votes and she was the first to leave ... He got 14 million votes and they threw him out. It was really a coup when you think about it. And the woman who came in last, the person who came in last (becomes the nominee)."

However, the publication fact-checked the GOP nominee, stating that Harris dropped out of the race in 2020 before any ballot was cast, and she was not the first to leave the race that year.

Biden dropped out of the race ahead of becoming officially named the Democratic nominee, while Harris' ascension to the top spot happened well within the rules of the Democratic Party.

Trump called 'dementia grandpa' after he names Biden as his rival

Donald Trump was brutally trolled online for his mix-up during the Town Hall.

"Seriously, get dementia Grandpa off the stage and back to the nursing home," wrote a person.

"Trump is struggling," stated another.

"Not fit to serve," jibed a third.

"Donald is unwell. Perhaps he should just go relax and drop out of the race," shared a fourth.

"No seriously, too old DonOld trump," mocked a fifth.

"Trump’s is old & rusted.. he needs a rest," echoed another.
