WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump has been called out online after he repeatedly bragged about his alleged successful trip to three Middle Eastern countries and the “money” he made.

Trump sat down with Fox News' Bret Baier for an interview, which was released on Friday, May 16, after ending his three-nation tour of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Republican leader proudly told the journalist, as per Raw Story, “Think of it, this trip, I made 12 times the money that we're talking about. I made that money in a few days. I've always been good with money.”

“I make money. In four days, I made 12 times what we spent in Ukraine,” Trump added.

The 78-year-old leader was seemingly referring to the agreements he had with the countries regarding foreign direct investments into the US.

He further asserted that “they have a lot of money, and I want them to spend the money in the United States, and we set records. There's never been a trip like this by any president.”

Critics slam Donald Trump for 'flat-out lying'

Donald Trump's critics did not seem convinced as hedge fund founder Spencer Hakimian tweeted, “What the f**k is he talking about it?”

“I will use my Trump Dementia Word Salad Decoder Ring and translate for you: In his delusional, dementia eaten, atrophied brain he thinks these totally fake ‘deals’ he signed with Qatar etc are somehow 12x more than what was spent helping Ukraine. So he ‘made 12x the money,’” an X user commented.

Another user wrote, “There is so much wrong and corrupt in this statement that I don't know which fallacy to address first.”

Another said, “He got a multi-trillion dollar *commitment*  from a country (Qatar) whose entire GDP is only a little over 200 billion. And he counts that as ‘making money’ for the US That’s called Trumpenomics.”

An individual posted, "Trump claims he made 12 times what the US spent on Ukraine—in just four days. The US has sent over $174 billion in aid since 2022. Unless he found a magic money tree and is bragging about kickbacks from military contractors… he’s flat-out lying.”

“They have already invested? Like during his 1st term, when American communities almost got bankrupted because of his announcements? He promised huge investments by the same countries and almost nothing happened,” a tweet read.

Another tweet was: “The numbers he’s presented to us are obviously made up nonsense.”
