WASHINGTON, DC: At 78, Donald Trump is reportedly trying to portray himself as a “brilliant young man” after taking continuous digs at President Joe Biden’s age.

Though the two politicians are only a few years apart from each other, Trump never missed a chance to mock Biden, who is 81.

Donald Trump claims himself ‘fine and brilliant young man’

Donald Trump had made Joe Biden's advancing age one of his main campaign rallying points, trying to position himself as an energetic alternative to the sometimes unsteady 81-year-old Democratic incumbent.

However, after Biden dropped out from his reelection bid, the 45th president has become the oldest presidential candidate, which is “freaking out” his aides, as reported by OK! Magazine.

Trump, however, is quite confident of his capabilities.

On Monday night, July 22, he wrote on Truth Social, “Lyin’ Kamala Harris, the Biden appointed 'Border Czar' who never visited the Border, and whose incompetence gave us the WORST and MOST DANGEROUS Border anywhere in the World, has absolutely terrible pole [sic] numbers against a fine and brilliant young man named DONALD J. TRUMP!”

He added, “Be careful what you wish for, Democrats??? MAGA2024.”

In another share, the Republican leader also reportedly asserted, “They try to make Crooked Joe into a brave warrior because he didn’t have the 'guts' to fight it out — He quit!”

“They then tried to make 'Sleepy' look like a great President — he was the WORST, and Lyin’ Kamala into a competent person, which she is not,” Trump stated.

Internet reacts to Donald Trump calling himself 'fine and brilliant young man'

People online were quick to remind Donald Trump of his real age. Many users trashed him for calling himself a 'young man' at age 78.

An X user tweeted, "#DefeatedFormerPresidentTrump is the #OldestPresidentialCandidate by far at 78-years-old. Biden was 77 in 2020!"

"Donald Trump who continually makes basic spelling & grammar errors in his rampant tweets, Calls Himself a 'Brilliant Young Man' at 78," another user commented.

The third user wrote, "Full blown dementia."

The fourth user stated, "TOO OLD TOO STUPID FOR OFFICE."

"Can someone wake him up?" a person sarcastically asked on Facebook.

Another person said, "Such a high lie per word ratio. Psychopathic Narcissist."

"Wow - describing himself as a 'young brillant' man only qualifying in Grinch years. As he is the Grinch, that must be the numbers on his 10ft pole he is talking about," a comment read.

Joe Scarborough says Donald Trump is worried after Joe Biden dropped out of race

‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough claimed that he “heard from inside the Trump campaign for some time right now that the one thing Donald Trump feared was not having Joe Biden to run against," as reported by Variety.

He continued, "Suddenly, he’s the oldest guy in the race by a long shot. The one thing that got to [Trump] was the idea that he might not be running against Biden because that’s all he’s been focused on since 2020.”

“But now you’re hearing [Speaker of the House] Mike Johnson, you’re hearing all these people just freak out: ‘This is illegal, you can’t do this. You can’t decide at a convention who your nominee is going to be. You can’t let the delegates decide.’ Well yeah, you can. It’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard in my life,” Scarborough stated.

He also mentioned, “But again, the fact they’re freaking out so much has to excite a Democratic party that was really at its lowest of any party that I’ve seen since Watergate.”
