Sporting his signature red 'Make America Great Again' cap, Donald Trump noticed a young girl in the crowd with curly brown hair, leading to the exchange that has since gone viral.

During the encounter, Trump was captivated by the girl’s hair, exclaiming, “Oh, I love that girl. I love that hair. I want her hair!” as seen in a video circulating online.

The former president jokingly proposed a deal, saying, “Can I buy your hair? I’ll pay you millions for that,” drawing laughter from those nearby.

The girl, whose identity remains unknown, appeared to respond, “I voted for you,” pointing skyward. Trump playfully replied, “I voted for you too.”

He then invited her for a photo opportunity, where she sat beside him while he gave his signature thumbs-up pose.

“That’s amazing,” one onlooker said, adding, “You can say you were with the president, and you played golf with him.” As the girl left the golf cart, the same bystander instructed her to say, “Thank you, Mr President," Daily Beast reported.

The lighthearted moment has since triggered online debate, with some questioning the appropriateness of Donald Trump’s remarks and others defending him.

Critics called out the interaction as problematic, particularly given the racial dynamics, as the girl was Black.

“How can people not read this person, what will his mental capacity be like in 3-4 years!” wrote one person online. Another questioned, “Why did her parents let her this close to the convicted felon?”

Others viewed the interaction as innocent and defended Trump’s remarks. “Come on! People say that to kids to be nice! People overreacting! If it was someone else, you would say that is cute and the girl has nice hair,” said one commentator.

While some described Trump’s behavior as “creepy” or racially insensitive, others dismissed such claims.

“The real racist will think this is racist,” one person stated.

Another added, “There is NOTHING creepy about this. He simply complimented a Black girl’s hair. There are legitimate grievances about Trump, but this AIN’T one of them. My goodness, y’all are desperate,” argued another commentator online.

Trump International Golf Club has been the site of notable incidents, including an attempted assassination on Trump in September.
