WASHINGTON, DC: President Trump reportedly called conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk to express support for Attorney General Pam Bondi following the conservative backlash over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Things went off the rails at Turning Point USA’s conference in Florida over the weekend, where Kirk and former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly didn't hold back on their criticism.

Kirk reportedly slammed Bondi for allegedly “humiliating” influencers who had visited the White House with her infamous Jeffrey Epstein “binders".

Trump wasn’t having it. Taking to Truth Social, he rushed to Bondi’s defense.

“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” he wrote on Saturday.

“We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”

Trump subsequently got on the phone behind the scenes, reportedly calling up Bondi’s most vocal critics to try and cool things down, according to three CNN sources. One of those calls reportedly went straight to Charlie Kirk.

CNN’s White House correspondent Kristen Holmes posted on X, “NEWS: President Trump called Charlie Kirk Saturday to express his support for Bondi after being shown clip of Kirk seemingly supporting Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino over Bondi at Kirk's Turning Point USA conference in FL.”

Charlie Kirk trolled on social media

Of course, the internet wasted no time jumping in. "Called Kirk because he is state-sponsored propaganda," one posted on X.

"Gotta get his obedient servants back in line," another quipped.

"<ring> Charlie: omg-omg-omg it's the president you guys, everybody SHH <boop, switches on speaker> Charlie: Hello? Trump: What the f**k, Chuck?" someone else joked.

"That's pathetic. Charlie will turn since they are not allowed to criticize Trump directly, ever," read a comment.

"All demented morons," another fumed.

Dan Bongino on the fence, Steve Bannon blasts Pam Bondi

CNN reported Friday that Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is seriously thinking about quitting, caught in the crossfire between the FBI and DOJ over the Epstein revelations. The memo concluded there’s “no evidence Epstein kept a ‘client list’ or was murdered."

When reporters asked Trump if Bongino was still on the job, he said, “I think so. I spoke to him today. Dan Bongino is a very good guy. I’ve known him a long time. … And he sounded terrific.” He added, “I think he’s in good shape.”

Not everyone in MAGA is buying the memo, though.

Right-wing firebrand Laura Loomer has openly called for Bondi to be fired. Meanwhile, former Trump strategist Steve Bannon lit up his 'War Room' podcast on Monday, slamming the administration’s handling of the Epstein file and accusing them of lacking transparency.

He told CNN that the entire investigation appears to have been “mismanaged.”

A Trump adviser even called the memo’s release a “political nightmare” and griped that it should’ve been timed better — maybe just before a holiday, or better yet, “after the 2026 midterm elections.”

Former Fox News star Tucker Carlson alleged on his podcast that Bondi is “covering up crimes, very serious crimes by their own description.”

Bur Bondi is clearly still in Trump’s good graces, at least for now. On Sunday, she was spotted sitting right next to Trump in his VIP box at the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey. One photo from the game showed Trump flashing Bondi a big thumbs-up.

Still, insiders say things can change real fast and there’s no guarantee Bondi’s spot is safe forever, CNN reported.
