WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA: Donald Trump criticized Kamala Harris following her recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, calling the appearance a “total disaster.”

At a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Saturday, September 21, the GOP nominee hate-watched a clip of the interview to mock the Vice President's performance.

During his speech at the rally, Donald Trump asked the crowd, “Did you see her on Oprah?”

Criticizing Kamala Harris, Trump added, “That’s not gonna be president, and Oprah didn’t know what the hell to do. Oprah was like embarrassed. She wanted to hide under the table, but she’s a professional and was able to sort of disguise it.”

He claimed that Harris is “not competent” to lead the nation and to support his claims, Trump played a clip from Fox News' 'The Ingraham Angle' in which the Vice President was ridiculed for repeatedly using the word “story” during the Oprah interview.

Fox contributor Raymond Arroyo compared Harris' speech to a child struggling to form coherent thoughts.

During the 'Friday Follies' segment, Arroyo said, “It’s like a child who learns one word and then they struggle for the next thought, and it never comes."

Building on the criticism from the Fox News segment, Trump noted, “It’s not what you want. That’s not what you want.”

Trump also downplayed the possibility of a second debate against Harris, saying, “It’s too late because people are already casting their votes."

"I’ve already done two [debates],” he said at the rally, reported Daily Beast.

Donald Trump’s criticism of Kamala Harris

Donald Trump also warned his supporters about what a potential Kamala Harris presidency would mean, claiming it would lead to mass immigration.

“A vote for Kamala Harris means 40 or 50 million more illegal aliens will invade across our borders, stealing your money, stealing your jobs, stealing your life,” he said.

Speaking about her campaign, Trump said, “Kamala and her group have seen what is happening to their campaign, and it’s not going well.”

Harris’ interview with Oprah Winfrey is part of her increased media engagement amid criticism that she has been avoiding the press.

In response, the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign has scheduled more high-profile interviews, including the upcoming CNN debate on October 23.

Dismissing the need for further debates, Trump said, “I don’t need to do any more debates. I’ve already done enough.”

Donald Trump on Kamala Harris’ competency

Toward the end of his speech at the rally, Donald Trump once again questioned the Vice President’s ability to handle interviews.

“She’s just — I mean, how this happens, explain it to me, please! How did this happen? We all saw what happened. Did we see what happened?" he asked, per Mediaite.

"Kamala was a total disaster yesterday and in every other interview, she’s been just a freefall," Trump continued.

“I don’t know what the hell’s going on. She can’t do an interview. She doesn’t want to do them? Something’s wrong," he added.
