MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES: During a rally marking 100 days of his second term, President Donald Trump made headlines by calling his special communications advisor and assistant Margo Martin “beautiful” before inviting her on stage and kissing her on the cheek.

The moment sparked buzz, especially as first lady Melania Trump was notably absent, continuing a trend of skipping several of Trump’s major public appearances.

The rally unfolded against the backdrop of Trump’s escalating trade war with China,  faltering stock market, and mounting legal battles over his unprecedented number of executive orders.

At his largest public event since returning to the White House, President Donald Trump marked 100 days of his second term with a rally in Michigan that blended political messaging with signature theatrics.

Addressing a crowd of 3,000 supporters, Trump publicly called 28-year-old Margo Martin “the most beautiful photographer in the world” before inviting her onstage and kissing her on the cheek.

“I'm not allowed to say this, it's the end of my political career, but I'm gonna say it anyway," Trump joked to cheers from the audience. "She's the most beautiful photographer in the world, I don't know if she's the best, but she's the most beautiful.”

Once onstage, Martin added fuel to speculation about Trump's future political ambitions, calling out, “Trump 2028, anybody?”

The rally also featured a moment with Republican strategist and CNN contributor Scott Jennings, whom Trump praised for defending him on television.

After inviting Jennings to the stage, Trump joked about the network's likely disapproval. “Oh, CNN, this is the end of Scott. Who cares? Don’t worry, we’ll take care of you, Scott.” Jennings kept his remarks brief, simply saying he hoped to buy a farm in Michigan, as per the Irish Star.

Donald Trump highlights spike in migrant arrests as key success of second term

During the Michigan rally, President Donald Trump also touted a spike in arrests of undocumented migrants as a key success of his second term.

“We tried to get it higher, but the courts are giving us a hard time,” he remarked, voicing his ongoing frustration with legal obstacles.

Trump claimed that immigration had been the driving force behind his reelection, insisting, “Now the courts are trying to say that doesn’t matter. I don’t think it’s going to be allowed to stand.”

However, the rally took a confusing turn when Trump mistakenly targeted the wrong lawmaker over an impeachment resolution.

In a fiery moment, he accused Republican Rep John James of sponsoring the effort to oust him, exclaiming to the crowd, “Some guy that I never heard of. John James. Is he a congressman, this guy? … What the hell did I do? Here we go again. This lunatic.”

In reality, the resolution was introduced by Democratic Rep Shri Thanedar, as per News Nation

Later during the event, Trump appeared to walk back his criticism and offered warm words for James, commending him for showing up after casting a vote in Congress.

“He was all sweaty and grimy. I said, 'What the hell happened?'” Trump joked. “He ran into the building because he wanted to vote in Congress, and I hear we passed the vote John James by a lot, right? And thank you for making it here. He wanted, he had a vote. I said John, do me a favor. Stay and vote.”

He closed by thanking James for his presence and calling it a “good job.”
